Williams FP Receiver Sights have an internal micrometer for a click-at-a-time adjustment and are made from rust-free aluminum. The sight is marked with white tick marks for easy adjustments of both windage and elevation. Includes 1 aperture, which has an outside diameter of 3/8" and an inside diameter (peep size) of .093". The aperture is knurled for easy installation/removal. Comes with a durable blue-black anodized finish and weighs only 1-1/2 oz. Please note that some rifle receivers may require drilling and tapping for installation.

Williams on a Winchester 71

I bought this to mount on a 1951 Winchester Model 71. The sight fit well and easily screwed into the factory holes. I am using both soft-shooting cast bullet loads, as well as full charge jacketed loads, so I need the large range of elevation that this sight provides. To swiftly align the sight after installation on a rifle with barrel mounted sights, simply adjust the peep until you can see the front bead centered in the rear leaf. Removal of the rear leaf and installation of a blank should be left until after the peep sight is adjusted.
The only reason I do not give this sight 5 stars is that I know from sad experience that the aluminum frame that the peep rides on is easily bent by casual contact. If there was a steel version, I'd gladly pay 20 % more for it.

Mounted this unit on a late model 1895 Winchester rifle. Works great. Holes were already drilled and tapped to fit the FP-71. Really improved the accuracy of the rifle verses the open sights.

Lightweight, very well ...

Lightweight, very well made, screw holes aligned perfectly with mounting holes in rifle, holds a zero very well, does not interfere with functioning of action (loading or ejection), screws did not protrude into action to cause any binding of action, "clicks" respond well (hard to see any backlash in sight adjustments). Also, the Williams company has been in business for a long time, this is reassuring in case of any defects which may reveal themselves later. All in all, a very good product.
