The GG&G Mini-14 Picatinny-Style Scope Base is a MIL-STD-1913 dovetail rail version that also offers a low profile mounting platform for conventional red dot optics or powered scope and ring combinations. The rail is 5.7 inches long to provide ample mounting space. It is precision machined from rugged 6061-T6 aluminum and Type III hard anodized matte black per mil-spec.

This is an excellent product. The mounting hardware is very very good; I was able to mount this on the Ruger Mini 14 in a minute or two. The hardware stayed tight through 200 rounds without the use of Loc-Tight. It is quite possible to remove the bolt with this rail in place. It is perhaps a bit trickier, but no big deal. This rail appears to be made of very good materials and it looks terrific on the Mini 14!

I bought two of them and the mounting screws are of poor quality they will not tighten proper without bending, save you money they are junk.

Had this on a 196 mini with a red dot for about 150 rounds through three range trips and three cleanings. It has done real well. Installed with blue loctite first time and has been real solid.

Good product. Works well for red dots etc. You don't have to remove the rail to remove the bolt during cleaning, lthough the rail does make it a lot trickier. If you are using a scope just go with the Ruger rings but again, great for red dots and such.

I have a Mini-14 6.8mm Ranch Rifle. First comment is when in place the bolt cannot be removed for cleaning unless you remove the Picatinny adaptor first.Second. I could not keep zero with this in place, so returned to using Ruger Rings. My disappointment shows in my rating.
