The Lee Breech Lock Hand Press takes all of the great features of the Lee Hand Held Press and adds Lee's convenient Breech Lock System that allows reloaders to quickly change dies without having to readjust dies. A full size hand held reloading press, yet the tool weighs only 1-1/2 lbs and costs so little; reloaders will want more than one. No matter how much reloading equipment a reloader has, it is a really great idea to have a portable hand press. No time is wasted mounting a tool to a work bench. When finished reloading, just pack it all away.

Truly a great very easy to use hand press, just be aware of where your placing your fingers, i personally haven't had any issues with it, but i do remember reading a review on it b4 i bought it about about a guy pinching his finger, which is very possible if your paying more attention to the tv than your reloading.. which i have been guilty of while watching "walking dead".. but this press is VERY well built, and a delight to not be stuck in the shop reloading rounds

I use it for reloading outside of my reloading room,watching TV with family,just sitting around talking.I deprime 100 45's at one night and then do another step the next night.I have also used it for teaching others how to reload. Do not like dumping primers out of this unit.

Buy this press and learn the reloading basics. The best way to learn reloading without going broke. Even when you get a nice press, this one will remain in your toolbox until your expensive press messes up. I see alot of people get nice press setups and sell it all after they realize that they don't know what they are doing. Money only makes loading faster. This press gets it done. Use the money you save on the press to buy dies, trimmer, and other tools. You will need that stuff no matter what press you have. I have loaded over 2000 9mm luger, 1200 5.56, and 300 308 win and this thing works like it did new.

With this press and a selection of a few other mandatory items, I have fit an entire reloading bench into a $20 toolbox. What a convenience! That is just one of several reasons I like this press kit. In the area of pros and cons, lets start with cons:- a little slower than a bench press- best to still have two hands with this oneBut assuming speed is not all important, and you have both hands, lets look at the pros:- small and light (easily carried on vacation or in a motor home). - no functional compromises when compared to a single stage bench press. - has Lee's wonderful breech lock system. - inexpensive. - durable (mine is new, so I can't speak from actual experience, but... the press, funnel, Ram Prime are all obviously designed to keep working without problem for a loooong time! - accuracy can be set up to be as exacting as any bench press.Any device is designed with certain features given priority and others included if possible. This press design is no exception to that rule. It has strong points that no other press in production today can match. If you want to carry an excellent press with you in your motor home, this is the one. If you want to be able to store your press in a toolbox rather than set up a dedicated bench, this is the one. If you want to save $$ without giving up any precision or control over your loads, this is the one. There are probably some other good reasons to select this press, I'll let you think of them. As for me, I am quite comfortable recommending this press to others.

This is a great product ...

This is a great product for someone new to reloading or those that want to work up small loads or batches. I have had mine for over 2 years and no problems. The ram has to be cleaned out every 20-30 primers if you are depriming though.

I feel really sorry for the people that take others word that they have to buy some expensive press to be sufficient for quality reloading. Man I'm glad I took a chance on this thing. Worth every penny. Make sure you pick up some of the breech lock ring eliminator inserts to go with, and you'll be set.

A must have for ...

A must have for experimenting with bullet seating depth at the range! During load development, I load all rounds at the house with the bullets seated longer than needed. Then at the range I use this Lee Hand Press and a bullet seating die to seat bullets progressively deeper (in groups of 3). This makes it easy to identify the ideal bullet seating depth for a given bullet / powder combination. Doing this at the range also gives you a few minutes between shots - so you don't become impatient letting your barrel cool :)Oh, and if you use this at the range, be prepared to answer questions like: "do you reload?"......here's your sign.

This is one of those products that deliver more than promised and bring a smile to your face while using it. I've been reloading since the early 80's, always with a single stage RCBS and LEE press, but you have to go away from the family while reloading. This hand press is not only top quality and easy to use, it is a joy to use. I have switched to doing 100% of my handloading with it now. I can sit in the living room while watching TV with the family and talking while I get my reloading done. The press has great leverage for even the largest calibers (I reload 45-70 among others), the included Ram-Prime is a joy to use, slow but it has a great feel, I like it better than my Lee Auto Prime. I even went and purchased the Lee powder dipper kit, using a dipper in the living room while reloading is just dead simple and fun to do, I no longer weigh my charges as there is no room for error with a dipper. I guess you can say I went retro and I'm loving it, simplicity is beautiful. Thank you LEE Precision for making the best reloading products in the market!

I love this press kit! I am currently using it to load for .38Spl, .45ACP, and 7.62X54R. I have been using it for a year, and have no complaints. Do make sure you empty the spent primers after every 20-25 decaps or you'll have issues getting the shellholder off. Best thing, it's portable! I can reload in my living room, or at the range!
