Hornady has combined the technologies of their GMX bullet line and FTX to create the MonoFlex line of bullets. By creating this bullet lever gun shooters have another bullet in their arsenal. Constructed of gilding metal, the MonoFlex line of bullets offer hunters a solid bullet that will hold together under the toughest conditions and retain 95% of its original weight. One difference between gilding metal and regular solid copper is that gilding metal is harder, tougher and does not foul or increase the pressure the was solid copper bullets do. When the Flex Tip bullet impacts the target, the unique design immediately initiates expansion even at lower velocities that are often encountered in mid to long range lever gun hunting scenarios. The deep penetration and high weight retention combine to produce a bullet that is a great choice for lever gun reloaders.
These bullets are safe to use in all tubular magazines, as well as any other firearm. This is not loaded ammunition.
