This heavy-duty magazine is designed to significantly increase reliability and service life, even when kept fully-loaded for extended periods of time. Die-controlled tolerances are held to +/- .001" which is over 75% tighter than magazines made to military specifications. The extra-stiff coils of aerospace grade wire produce more power than other magazines. The base pad and plate is removable for convenient cleaning and maintenance.

Great Mags. I use these for USPSA/IPSC Limited-10, in a Colt Gold Cup, and they function very well. I have put 1000s of rds through them with very little problems. You may need to trim the rear edge of the plasic base pad with a file or dremmel, if you have a mag well as I do. Very old mags may need to have the feed lips squeezed for the mag to drop freely. Other than that, a really great mag.

I purchased 4 of these and 4 of the 8-round magazines. Three of the magazines locked the slide back and took it out of competition when I did a locked-slide reload. The mag lips with width greater than 0.400" caused the malfunction, whereas the ones under .400" worked great in my STI.

Watch out for the last round on Kimbers

I use a couple of these in a Kimber Grand Raptor II feeding FMJs. They feed reliably up until the last round, and that round seems to bind up on the ramp on occasion. It appears the follower pushes the bullet nose a little higher than the stock Kimber mags causing a feed jam.

Had a few failure to feed the last round when I first started using them but after 20 or 30 rounds through them they are working better.

First what I liked: The magazine base is nice and big and the spring is nice and strong. Also it is longer than say a colt ten round and as a result I think has a better spring to round ratio. What I do not like is the follower. They took the time to make such a nice magazine but the follower is about the worst design out there. I replaced the follower in one of the two magazines I bought and had no problems with it. The other one 9 times out of 10 will lock the slide back with one round still in the magazine. I will be keeping the magazines but will be replacing the followers in them. Dont buy these if you dont want the extra expense.*Weapon tested was Springfield TRP Operator

Absolute BEST 10 round magazine I have bought for the Springfield 1911. Runs flawlessly. Highly suggest you order more than one, if not, you will just have to place another order later because youll love it that much.

This does not feed hollow ...

This does not feed hollow points and unreliable overall. Gun is a Colt Series 80 1911. Magazine follower tilts down which does not affect ball too bad but pushes hollow points nose down. Every time you send the slide home the rounds dive down; MOST of the time ball ammo will still make it in but hollow points dive straight down and get stuck. Very sad because the quality everywhere else is very high: well made, tight tolerances, very precise construction but overall very poorly designed.

I have a Taurus PT 1911 (awesome gun BTW). Magazine fits like a glove. Cycles all bullet nose shapes. Wasn't too happy with the magazines that came with the gun. It was hard to push in the 8th round on both magazines. Buy these mags, you wont be disappointed.

Great construction, feeds like hot butter through a biscuit in my Colt. Some have said that these CMC mags won't feed hollowpoints because they make the rounds point downward and hit the ramp, but I use Remington Golden Sabers (hollowpoint) and they feed just fine... It my be because the Sabers have a rounded projectile, while others are straighter(?). These mags are the cat's meow. All I will ever use.

Looks good, feels good, ...

Looks good, feels good, but does not feed Speer Gold dot which is our Duty ammo or any other JHP. I am using a Rock Island 1911, and a Colt Gov 1911. If all you plan on shooting is ball they are great, but not worth using to defend your life.
