Product Information

Designed for volume production, the Lee 6-Cavity Bullet Mold blocks are machined from commercial quality aluminum and feature steel bushing and alignment pins. Lee mold blocks are machined from aluminum blocks making them rust resistant. Aluminum molds heat up and cool down faster than iron or steel molds so good bullets can usually be produced after only a few casts. In addition, they are one-third the weight of iron or steel mold blocks for less fatigue during extended casting sessions. To ensure the best possible bullets, mold block halves are CNC machined for unmatched roundness and size control. Lee 6-Cavity molds come with a cam operated, hard-anodized sprue plate which is held tightly with tempered spring washers at each end. Weights given are Lee's weights with suggested alloy; actual weight may vary due to alloy mixture used. Handles ARE NOT included (#117-892).

This is a great mold, I have had only good things come to me thanks to this mold. I shoot competitions and I use this for 9mm and .38 special as well as .357 magnum. I've shot all three and I had no problem. You have to remember that between .356 and .358 diameter there's a difference of about a thin hair from my scalp.The only problem that I saw from this mold is that it does not give you a smooth round surface at the top, instead it's smooth but it has an almost triangle looking figure at the top. I was worried about it when loading it into my lever action and the sharp point piercing the next primer from the other round but that has not happened yet and I have shot about 4,000 of these.my favorite part was the excellent accuracy that they provide. Im always on the bullseye now.

Two issues with the mould ...

Two issues with the mould - bullets drop out measuring .358 - 361" depending on alloy and which cavity's bullet I'm measuring. Second, the grease groove is just too small and too narrow to hold enough lube. Worse, after resizing it down another 5 thou, the displaced lead makes the groove even smaller. Aluminum moulds are delicate as well, so be very careful and gentle aligning the locator pins each time you close the mould.

I have 2 of these.. They seem to swell on one side more than the other and then the guide pins get sticky. It also misconforms the bullet slightly. one half of the bullet was slightly off from the other side when sizing. Works fine before getting hot. It seems to shoot ok even though its slightly off center.

This is the 2nd mold in this mdl. The 1st I simply wore out. This one is not quite the quality of the 1st one it works well, casts good bullets, but the fitting of the handles isn't quite fit as well as the 1st mold. I have cast appox. 3000 bullets. It is starting to signs of wear on the sprue plate, where the 1st mold didn't until about 15000 bullets. I would still recommend it, as a good buy.

This is the first mold I casted with. The fit and finish was excellent. The mold is easy to use and casts great looking bullets. Since this is a 6 cavity mold it took me longer to get it up to proper temp but after that I cranked out several hundred bullets in a hurry. Four stars as I don't have a basis to compare to but I am happy I got a 6 cavity mold. More bullets is always better.

Have used this mould 2 times with no problems. There is some tool marks left in two of the cavities, it doesn't seem to hurt anything, have separated the different cavities, and weighed them they cast within 2 grs. They measure from .356 to .357 so they need to be sized. Off a rest have shot 2" groups from a CZ 75 with a 4" bbl. using mixed brass. Works for me!

Excellent. Easily breaks in and produces 3x faster than 2 cavity molds. I can cast 600 rounds in about 3-4 hrs. I load the bullets full power in 357 sig. I managed to find a way to install a gas check groove on the bullet so I can install a gas check. I use my Hornady press mounted bullet puller with the 0.358 collet. Insert the bullet base driving band into the puller collet fingers and actuate the tool to squeeze the bullet diameter just enough to slip a gas check on the bullet. Then crimp the gas check as usual. Fired to 1,450 fps, no leading! Good mold / good tool.

Not sure what the 3-star rating is all about, I've used this mould for 4 years and have had the bullets feed just fine in a Browning Hi-Power, Springfield XD-9, Walther P99, Ruger P-89, and a Beretta 92F. Best mould for the price, warms up quickly, casts lots of bullets quickly, easy to use. I also size my bullets with a .356 Lee Sizer and use liquid alox for the lube. Produces great blasting ammo!

The "perfect" bullet for 9mm. With this, cast somewhat hard (1/2 wheel weights 1/2 linotype)I make a load that uses less than max recommended charges of Bullseye but is very close to the velocity and impact point of the standard 9mm FMJ. These loads have functioned perfectly in every 9mm handgun I have tried.

Very pleased. After a bit of touching up for burrs and rough edges the mold throws nice bullets that fall right out. Takes a bit of heat to run it, and I keep the pot at almost 700 degrees using straight wheel weight. Sure goes through a bunch of lead in a hurry!
