Product Information

Liberty Halo-Point USM4 ammunition is a high velocity, extremely accurate load designed for self-defense. The 78 Grain Lead-Free Fragmenting Hollow Point bullet travels at 1900 feet per second, resulting in 12 inches of ballistic gel penetration and a permanent wound cavity greater than 5 inches in diameter. When tested through denim cloth into ballistic gel, this load penetrated almost 8 inches deep and produced a wound cavity 6 inches in diameter. This lightweight, high velocity round yields less felt recoil and has an effective range of 25 meters. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, and requires no weapons modifications.

This is my second review of this product and nothing has changed. The round, when used for defense, has no equal. I'm very familar with well known other brands (Hydra-Shok etc.) and have used them for many years. Liberty's 45 round literally explodes a watermelon wrapped in denim at the fifteen yard line out of my Springfield TRP. The 40 caliber round does the same thing out of a Glock 27, (the wife's back-up). Expect reduced recoil and very suprising accuracy. Too bad the first reviews got deleted somehow as there was another fellow who basically said the same thing. By the way, there is no excessive muzzle flash/blast like you would get with something like Buffalo Bore (I still carry BB in my 357 as, in that caliber, it can't be beat).
