A sturdy follower, but the end near the spring is too small to allow the spring inside the follower. This costs me a shell compared to my stock one. I took off my extension for duck season, and was going to use this, but I could no longer get 2 3 1/2's in my magazine! I had to switch back to my stock follower and it went back to 2. I don't really want to Dremel out this follower. I guess I would recommend using the stock follower; it seems to work just as well.

The Best I've Used

If you're having issues of any kind with your magazine tube, this is the answer. I use NC followers and springs in both of my combat shotguns and they're by far the best I've tried. I can't really explain it but when you've messed with a lot of other magazine parts like I have and then try this, it just finally feels 'right'. The combination of a 25" NC spring and this follower still allow me to load 7 rounds in my 930 SPX's magazine. If you lose a round in your magazine with this follower, switch to a shorter, stronger spring and that should solve the problem.

Excellent design, only problem is it reduces the magazine capacity of the Mossberg 930 SPX from 7 to 6 rounds of 2-3/4" shells. The follower is too long to fit the tube properly to allow for full capacity. Other than that, as noted below, it DOES fix the feed issues so common with the 930 SPX. Given the price, I'm going to try to Dremel mine down a bit to fit, and go ahead and order the Nordic 2-rnd extention to replace the Choate.

I bought this to replace the original follower in my Remington 870 when I added the Nordic Components two round extension tube. I did this to avoid any potential dragging issues that might have occurred after drilling out the magazine dimples on the 870. With about 50 rounds through the gun since that time, I have had no problems feeding ammo from the extended magazine.

The stock follower in my Mossberg 930 spx was sticking, so I replaced it with this Nordic follower. It works great, and I have no more problems with the shotgun. The only downside was that my magazine capacity went from 7 shells to 6 due to its larger size.

I just purchased this for my Benelli Nova when I added the Nordic 2 shot extension. It looks like it is well made but the description does not state which gun models it will or will not work in. I put it in my nova and it worked great until the last round. The last shell would not come out all the way leaving the tip of the shell about a quarter inch still in the tube causing a jam. After carefully examining the follower and the one that came with the Benelli Nova I noticed the end that pushes against the shell was made different and does not push the shell out all of the way. I just assumed when I ordered this that it would fit because it is for a 12 gauge but it will not work in a Benelli Nova. If the design was like the one in the Benelli it would have been perfect.Nordic Components are great but this one just did not work in my Nova.

This Nordic Follower ...

This Nordic Follower first hung up 3/4 down the magazine tube of my Benelli Supernova. I got it to drop futher but in the end it hung up at the very end of the barrel/receiver and I had difficulty seeing it to verify the shotgun was unloaded as the follower is gun metal gray and would not come all the way down. For these reasons I do not trust it and went back to the orginal Benelli follower which is bright red and works perfect.

This is a very nice follower. I installed it in an H&R and had to alter it to fit in the tube. Fits great in 870s. very light weight (almost can't feel it when you're holding it) and very durable. I will be buying another one for my other 870.

Works well, no complaints what so ever. Be careful not to damage it during cleaning though as its very thin and light weight with sharp edges on the bottom, I always set it aside or on top of something so I dont damage it. But it slides like butter in the magazine tube because of the Teflon finish and is very well machined. Should last as long as my gun!!
