Product Information

Premium Cape-Shok Ammunition is nickel plated for better feeding, ejection and corrosion resistance. Each primer is lacquer-sealed to protect against moisture and assure instant ignition. They are available in a variety of hard-hitting bullets for taking down the biggest game.

Barnes Triple-Shock X Bullets are made of 100% copper and contain no lead. When the bullet expands, four razor-sharp cutting petals are created, allowing the bullet to penetrate farther through tough bone and tissue. These bullets usually retain 100% of their original weight, making them a superb choice for hunting. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer-primed, reloadable brass cases.

Impressed with performance thus far

Shooting a Sako 85 with a zeiss conquest, switched to Federal after shooting Hornady, could not get the Hornady round to group better than 5" at 100yards, with this round was getting 1" or better groups, have not taken the round into the field yet, but i presume it will perform well

Sub MOA groups in my Kimber Caprivi and Blaser R93. This is my preferred load in .375 when an expanding bullet is required, except for cats. Prefer a "softer" bullet when cat hunting, such as a Nosler Partition or a Woodleigh Weldcore.

I shot 3 rounds at 100 yards and got a 1/2 inch group. from my kimber 8400 caprivi 375 H&H i have shot a lot of factory ammo from this gun, but this is the best!

This review on Africa. Two cape buffalo (35yds, 125 y), hartebeest (185y), wildebeest (200y), zebra (165y) and impala (215y). All plains game one shot kill, bullet exit. Buff #1 shot with 2 softs then a few solids; buff #2, 2 shots. For what the 375 is it did a fine job on buff. Recovered softs from both buff and look like ad photos.

Shoots sub MOA groups in my Dakota 76 at about 2450 fps. Shot a brown bear on all fours facing me on a hill across a valley at a laser-verified 220 yards. Penetrated the chest, traveled through about 4 feet of bear, broke the spine, and left a 1" exit wound. One shot, one kill.

Excellent performance on Zimbabwe Cape Buffalo at 10yds. 3 shots, Through-and-through on each. #1 went through neck, #2 went into chest, destroyed heart and out the other side, #3 broke right rear leg as he turned to run.Shot some other game on my 2010 safari in Zim, but the buffalo was the only one that mattered.I will be switching to Barnes for all my centerfire hunting.

Used this ammo in Africa ...

Used this ammo in Africa in May 09, and took Kudu, Zebra, Black Wildebeest, Buffalo, Bushbuck, Impala and Hyena. All but the hyena were one-shot kills, not counting the insurance shot on the buff. Only recovered the bullet from the zebra, it was perfectly mushroomed and had retained apparently 100% of its weight. This was the ammo recommended by the PH for my .375 H&H Sauer 202. And the results seem to prove out that this is excellent ammo for that application.

I get 1" groups at 100yds from a Browning A-Bolt. I used this ammo on an African Safari to take Zebra (200 Yds) Eland (195 yds) Gemsbok (125 yds) and Wildebeest (185 Yds) all ranged yardage. These are some pretty hefty animals and the Barnes TSX knocked the snot out of all of them. No animal took more than 3 steps and no 2nd shots were required. Only 1 bullet was recovered everything else was a pass through. The recovered bullet retained 100% of it's original weight. I highly recommend these bullets.

Let me first say your results may vary. Each rifle is different and each shooter's abilities are different. I have just returned from the range. Weather conditions clear, 88 degrees, fairly humid. Light winds today. Equipment: new Dakota 375H&H Safari; Swarovski z6 1.7-10X42. 3 shot groups with this ammo ranged from 5/8 inch center to center to 7/8 inch center to center consistently. I have the targets to prove it if anyone is interested. For factory ammo right out of the box this is terrific accuracy. I just bought 5 more boxes.
