The bullet that started the company, Nosler Partition Bullets feature a fully tapered jacket that ruptures instantly at the thin jacket mouth, yet the gradual thickening along the bullet's axis controls expansion and curls the jacket uniformly outward at high or low velocities.

Nosler's integral Partition supports the expanded mushroom and retains the rear lead alloy core. The enclosed rear core retains more than half the original bullet weight for deep penetration. The special crimp locks in the rear core section, adding strength to resist deformation under the pressure of heavy magnums. This is not loaded ammunition.

Nosler .257 Cal, 100 Gr Partition Bullet

This bullet has always been my favorite Partition bullet for the .257 Roberts rifle. Handloaded the 100 grain can exceed 3000 fps in almost any .257 Roberts chamber. The bullets are very accurate and kill really well and fast on deer.

Tough, accurate bullet

I shot a heavy bodied buck at a range of 40 yds with this bullet going 3300 ft per second. It went through a shoulder and exited behind the other one leaving a decent exit hole. The animal went about 50 yards.
These bullets shoot well over a load of IMR 4831 out of my very finicky Ruger No 1. I would give them 5 stars for accuracy and performance but take one off because the price is high.

I have been using the 100 ...

I have been using the 100 grain partition for almost 30 years and have had only one deer out of the many run and he only ran about 400 yards before he dropped. All the rest have dropped on the spot after rolling a few yards when hit. I am getting over 3300 f.p.s. and none of the deer have been shot at a range less than 125 yards. They are the best grouping bullet I have ever used getting 3 shot groups inside a dime at 300 yards with my Remington 700 CDL. Well worth the price

It will be tough to make ...

It will be tough to make this review short. I should first say that I am biased toward Nosler Partitions, regardless of caliber. If any rifle I buy shoots good groups with Partitions, I look no further. All of them have, fortunately. For any given task, there is probably a better bullet than a Partition. But the Partition just happens to be the best ALL AROUND bullet. I discovered this after using several of the other super premium bullets, and unfortunately I don't have the space here to elaborate. But I must be an all around guy because I use nothing but Partitions in all my rifles and handguns, with rare exception. In the case of these 25-caliber 100-grainers, it was a real joy to use my new Dakota Model 10 in 250-3000 Savage pushing these at 2800 fps for all 6 of my North Carolina whitetails this year. Distance of each shot is followed by distance traveled after hit (in parentheses): 50 (25), 40 (65), 72 (45), 67 (170), 58 (78), 64 (78). In reviewing the distance traveled figures, I hesitated at first to give it 5 stars, as other bullets may have brought them down more quickly. You could say these bullets are not always so spectacular as they are dependable. In each case, I hit the deer broadside behind the shoulder, through the lungs and in some cases the heart as well. Each bucked up slightly and let me know they were hit, leaving a heavy blood trail from start to finish. Five of the six bullets exited. Some want their deer down on the spot, but with lung shots, I've seen them run no matter how large the rifle was. The lung shot has its advantages, and trailing a deer an average of 77 yards doesn't bother me. If the buck of a lifetime presents a worse angle, I will be glad that I hedged my bet and relied on that solid web of copper midway rather than on a shallower-penetrating bullet. I'm also glad I hedged my bets for these broadside shots by not using bullets that are too toughly constructed. I've done that before and nearly lost deer. The Partition is the b

Very well built, deep ...

Very well built, deep penetrating bullet. They shine on wild hogs & animals with thick skin & heavy bone structure. All the Nosler Bullets shoot smaller groups than Barnes in my rifles. A higher ballistic coefficient would earn them 5 stars.
