These electronic muffs feature dual omni directional stereo michrophones that provide 360° of external ambient listening and speakers that amplify quiet sounds up to 18 dB, and have an upper limit of 82 dB for excellent hearing protection. This is my first ...

This is my first experience with electronic earmuffs and Peltor products. I must say that I am impressed, the Tactical PRO has exceeded all expectations. I looked into electronic muffs as a result of my experiences at the first two regional matches that I attended.I took my favored muffs (NRR29db) and my hearing loss of 35% (or more) and was rewarded each time with the RO stopping the timer and tapping me on the shoulder and asking if I was ready to shoot.Now, I can actually HEAR the range commands and the timer.Gunfire is tolerable even at the higher volume setting that I use. Comfort-The last few practice stageshave been shoot/RO. That means shoot 150 or 200 rounds and RO for the other shooters. After 5 or 6 hours and several hundred rounds, I was still comfortable. My two cents worth? A+ highly recommended.

This is the first set of electronic hearing protection that I have owned. I have used this product for 6-8 months. I cannot get through a 6 stage 15-20 shooter IDPA match with out changing batteries. Less than three hours of continuous use will drain the batteries. I have bought both expensive and discount brand batteries with the same results. I find this most frustrating since I bought this model for the superior DB rating, and brand reputation.My plan is to contact / return the headset to the manufacturer. Hopefully there is a fault in my headset and it can be repaired.

I SO for both USPSA and IDPA. Being so close to several "open" guns during a shoot put me in the market for better hearing protection. These did the trick. They are very comfortable and allow you to hear everything going on around you Battery life is very good.

I've had the tac pro's for a number of years. I wear them for shooting and also for auto race watching. The sound suppression plus the natural ear muff capability works great. There's nothing like being at an auto race and being able to carry on a normal conversation. Even over F1 level noises. Maybe a bit of overkill for shotgun sports, but for any other shooting (or racing) needs, these are the ticket, At the races, they can also take an input jack from a scanner or a radio to pick up the track broadcasts,I've replaced the ear cups once, and the headset keeps going strong.

The sound from these muffs is so clear it, it is like you are not wearing them. No static. Controls are easy to master. You have to hold the middle button until you hear a beep to turn them on and the same to turn them off. Two friends tried them and are going to order them.

Hard to beat these muffs! I use them when I teach. I give them to my student so they can hear me and everyone of em has commented on how comfortable they are and how well they can hear me. I like that you can operate the controls with gloves on. Excellent protection even when turned to the highest level. Tried others before I bought these and I am here to tell you that you can't go wrong with these muffs! They are larger than some and may not look as cool but man do they protect your hearing.

Wish I'd gotten them long ago. Very comfortable and great controls. I was booming away with a 22-250 hand gun today and they worked great yet I could hear everything going on around me at the range. Recommended!

These are excellent ear protectors. The metal headband holds the muffs tightly against the head. They are surprising light weight and compact for 26NR. Important! The on off switch works flawlessly but you must hold it down until you hear beeps.

I have used these for more than two years and have found them to be of high quality and better than most I have used. The batteries last a long time, the volume/on/off controls are easy to use and the auto shutoff is a great feature. I highly recommend them if you do a fair amount of shooting.

I shoot IDPA and ...

I shoot IDPA and practical matches so I'm around many shooters with the need to hear scores/times called out (I help S.O.) over chatter. These are by far better than the ProEars with their ability to stop the loud noises and allow the lower sound pressures (e.g. voices) to come through very quickly. My biggest complaint with ProEars has been their clipping of voices. These don't do that at all. Their sound suppression is great for open air shooting. But, any muffs, regardless of NRR, will need earplugs if shooting with other rifles under a roof/awning. So for anyone who complains about that, there isn't a single ear muff made that will compensate for 5+ rifles firing under a roof/awning at a range (e.g. CMP matches).
