This sharpener is ...

This sharpener is excellent-I can quickly bring my blades back to hair popping edges. This rod is perfect for a quick touch up; either before or after use. Lansky lists this as a "medium" but it seems really fine to me. Might be a different grade for ceramics. Either way, this is a fantastic rod, just be careful with the rod-it is ceramic and it can break if you drop it on concrete. Honestly though, as cheap as these are, I'll probably buy two. The performance to price ratio is just fantastic! Buy this rod, you won't be dissappointed.

This sharpener is a breeze to use and helps me maintain a sharp edge on my usually cheap knives that dull out after a few uses. It is made to last a long time.
