Product Information

I used this round to drop a 750 pound 5x5 Bull Elk in the Kentucky 2010 Elk Hunt. Shot was from 250 yards, bullet entered front shoulder and was found lodged between the hide and muscle on the opposite side. The bullet was fully expanded. When hit the bull reared up and turned. We thought he had ran down the opposite side of the hill. He was found lying about 10 feet from where he was shot. Like others have stated, this round is too much for whitetails, but is ideal for bigger game.

Ordered this ammo for a South African safari that I took in May of 2010. I was NOT disappointed! The area we hunted was wide open and I had the opportunity to take some 300 yard plus shots on Gemsbok and Kudu. One shot kills on both. It did take two for the Black Wildebeest however. Very good ammunition and I highly recommend it.

I tried many rounds out of my Vanguard Sub-MOA, nothing came close to the groups I shot with this ammo. 1-1/2" groups @ 250yds., and extremely flat between 100 - and 250 yds. Around 1 1/2" overall drop.

I have used this round for Black Bear, Whitetail, Antelope, and Elk. I have dropped every animal (except the Antelope - didn't hit the lungs) in its tracks - No such thing as too much gun. Put it in the lungs and the animal is down...PERIOD. Closest shot was a 10yd whitetail / farthest was 470yd Antelope. It IS the PERFECT round!

I shot an 800 pound elk ...

I shot an 800 pound elk 100 yards. Frontal shot at chest, bullet found in hind quarter. Good mushroom and weight retention with about 6 to 7 feet penetration. Price of round to performance is excellent.

I used this round to take a 800 5X5 Bull Elk this October during the Kentucky Elk hunt. I hit the Elk in the left shoulder at 250 yards. The bullet passed through the shoulder, clipped off the top of the heart and lodged between the ribs and hide. The elk raised up on its hind legs, turned and layed down. Great round for big game, may be a little overkill for deer.

I shot two deer with this ...

I shot two deer with this bullet one at 165 yards and one at 220 yards. The 165 yard shot passed through the lungs and didn't expand much, leaving a tough tracking job. The 220 yard shot broke the right shoulder and exited the opposite side. The deer ran only 40 yards, leaving a massive blood trail. I believe this bullet is to tough for deer, but would be great for larger game.

Great Elk round, way too much for Deer. Dropped a feeding bull where it stood at 250yds. Be prepared for the recoil, this thing will bite you!
