The two I purchased were ...

The two I purchased were squarely middle of the road magazines. The follower button on this one is not rounded like the OEM mags I received with my pistol. These are squared edge buttons, like a nickel, as opposed to a magnifying glass lens. They don't slide on the metal as well as the originals, and as a result they tend to scrape the paint and mar the metal underneath. I actually had to disassemble the two I purchased and polish the metal to remove the burs, then try and round the corners of the buttons to allow them to slide without grinding the magazine sides. While I was successful in the modification of the button, they are still somewhat painful to operate on a long day of plinking. If you use the quick clip loader, you probably won't have an issue with them, but I'd prefer the old(?) style button with the rounded edges. I was going to give them a 4-star rating because of the button, but since I had to work on them when new out of the box, I decided that they were really only worth 3 stars. Functionally, they are sound, but you may have to put some effort into them to increase the enjoyability factor.

For those of you who want a 10 round in your Mark I. These disassemble easy and you can move the button to the other side of the magazine. These function perfectly in both my early model Bull barrel and a the original standard model. In 15 years of useage I have never had a jam due to feeding from these magazines. I have three different button types and all work well in my autos.

These work flawlessly. there is a TINY lip on the back of the mag that extends past the floorplate. This sometimes just barely catches on the mag release and on the speed loaders that are a must buy for these mags. A tiny bit of filing fixed that. No sense in buying aftermarket mags when these are the same price and work perfect. I'll be getting a few more for my MK II

I found the button on this magazine to be more comfortable than the ones that came with the MK II. The buttons are about the size of a thumb tack. The buttons on my old mags were smaller than a pencil eraser.

You can't beat a Ruger factory magazine. These are the best. I have two Ruger Mark 2 pistols and a total of 10 mags. One in each gun and 4 back up mags per gun. Also, by a HKS "red" magazine loader. It is a must have for saving time and your thumbs.
