Excellent construction ...

Excellent construction and value. These are the perfect height for an AR flattop without having to use a Flattop Riser. 2.5 from the center of the bore to the center of the scope. The offset is about 1/2 This allows enough adjustment to move the scope forward enough depending on your shooting style. Picture doesnt show them but they do come with hex screws to mount it to the rail.

Bought these for a CVA ...

Bought these for a CVA Muzzleloader and they worked perfectly to allow use of the stock rifle sights, which are higher than normal on CVAs. Like them so much I am ordering a second set for my slug gun.

I bought these for and work well on a Traditions E-bolt Muzzleloader, (and similar guns I'm sure) especially if using a longer eye relief scope and need you need to gain a bit of eye relief space. They also provide good access to the breach for capping and uncapping. I'm ordering another set, as these fit my Savage 220f nicely as well. Good quality, Hex screws throughout and 4 screws per upper strap.

These rings are very similar to the Leupold Rifleman see thru rings (for which I gave a glowing review on Midway).Like the Leupolds, these are outstanding for the money - especially if you are looking for high, lightweight rings for an AR-15 and you don't care about having quick-detach capability. I also find the offset very handy.However, I would actually rate these slightly better than the Leupolds (at least for AR use) for several, minor reasons.First, they are slightly "wider" (as measured along the length of the scope) than the Leupolds and thus, may hold better. Second, the Ironsighters have a slightly more "tactical" look because of the extra angle or two that is built into their design and the "greyer" finish (compare the images Midway provides and you'll see what I mean).One important note - the ring height listed in the description of the Ironsighters is somewhat misleading. By my measurements, similar to the Leupolds, these rings hold the scope such that the bottom edge of the scope tube (the part the ring is grabbing) is about 7/8 (.875) of an inch above the top of the weaver or picatinny rail - so the centerline of the scope will be about 1.375 inches.I find this height to be virtually perfect for a flat top AR...BUT it will NOT give you a lower 1/3 co-witness with ironsights...it's closer to a 1/2 co-witness.
