RCBS was founded over 60 years and has been producing high quality reloading equipment ever since. The RCBS Collet Bullet Puller is designed so the reloader can easily pull jacketed bullets from brass cases without damaging either. The puller utilizes standard 7/8"-14 threads so it will work almost any single stage reloading press. Just get the die setup in the press with the appropriate caliber collet (sold separately), place the cartridge with the bullet to be removed in the press, lift up the ram, then tighten the collet, lower the ram and the bullet is pulled out. No more hammering away with inertia bullet pullers to break down ammunition. Different caliber collets are sold separately (this unit does not ship with any collets). Not for use with non-jacketed bullets.

I've been full circle on ...

I've been full circle on pullers, I seem to get "donated" lots of peoples rejects and old ammo to disassemble. I've had Quinetics, Frankford Aresenal, Lyman and Frankford's newest '8 second' puller (what a joke that was, 2 rounds it broke.) So I bought this RCBS collet puller. Save some money and buy this one first, its wonderful. I pulled about 6 or 8 hundred 223's last night in about 2 hours, almost effortlessly!The instructions tell you to rap on the die if a bullet sticks...Don't. I had no bullet sticking whatsoever using minimum grip force on bullet for several hundred rounds and then my friend came by and tried some and slugs started sticking in it (because he tightened it down too tight!) The fix was to remove the collet and (using a soft yellow brass tapered punch to not mar/scratch the collet) and being careful to not go too far and damage the collet, tap the punch into the bottom of the collet to slightly spread the 'legs' of the collet so it wouldn't grip too hard and stick the bullet. Bingo, no more sticking slugs, no rapping on the die. I never pulled bullets so fast or easily in my life than with this one. Being generous with the time I'd say I was pulling a bullet every four seconds. I just let the bullets fall into the primer catch tray on the RC press and collect when full. No damaged bullets either!!!

Easy and fast

If you do any amount of reloading, you are going to need to disassemble rounds at some point. Like most people I started off with a kinetic puller, which does work, but it's painfully slow.

This bullet puller has been great, I have a single stage press that I use to pull the couple of bullets that invariably don't get a primer or other issue during my auto progressive run.

Much better than the kinetic puller.

This thing works great . I recently pulled 100 rounds of 9mm. That was undercharged I saved the powder and bullets. Much better than hammering away with a kinetic puller!

I bought this to use on some 38 special flat/sp ammo that I was concerned with the loads. It performed perfectly and did not deform or scratch the bullet. I averaged 7 rounds per minute on 240 rounds. I highly recommend this and the necessary insert. I plan to buy the inserts for the other calibers I load so when I have a concern I don't need the impact puller. Great job RCBS.

I have been reloading for over 30 years and made a major error recently. I ended up with 1200+ rounds of 5.56 that were too hot. Hot enough to blow out the case at the extractor on an AR-15 causing the magazine to blow out and the extractor to become bent. Once I realized what I had done I purchased this tool to pull the bullets and powder and start over. The PROPER amount of AA 2230 behind a 55 grain Remington PSP instead of what I had used. Boy did I feel dumb. Anyhow, after getting this tool I was able to disassemble all of the ammo in about 3 hours. That's right! 1200 plus rounds in THREE HOURS. This tool is a must have if you are a reloader. I've used the kinetic type before, and they are cheaper, but this one is so much better and faster! And it doesn't give you blisters using it. And it appears as if it will last forever! Plus you couldn't tell that the bullets were pulled without a magnifying glass. They looked 99% like they did before they went in the cases.

This is a handy tool to have and it works well. especially when one reads the reviews and follows the advice of some of the other users. Having said that. I read the manufactures description and some 70 + comments and not one comment that This Puller WILL NOT WORK ON THE BONANZA CO AX press. There are enough of those presses out there that i feel a potential buyer keep the above in mind. This tool works as advertised in most presses. I just am surprised that some one has not come up with it before. At Forsters site, they mention that that the Forster Bullet puller will not work with their Co AX press .Naturally i found this out AFTER my Midway purchase of the RCBS Bullet puller. Hope this saves one person from my experience.

THIS works. I tried another brand, the red-handled one, got all kinds of excited at other people's reviews. I couldn't get it to work. At all. I'm not a clumsy guy. I've built AR15s (machined from forgings), FN-FALs and am fairly handy with S&W revolvers and 1911 style guns, but that really stumped me. Sent it back in days. Then I saw this on sale and thought I'd give it a shot. I've got several thousand rounds of badly made 5.56mm NATO loads to tear down and it took all of about ten seconds to set up and I was in business. Pulled down several hundred rounds last night, should be done in a couple of days' time. NO BULLET MARKS. RCBS, you've won me over yet again. Buy one.

Bought this based on reviews. This works as advertised. Although it states for use with a single stage press, I use this on a Dillon 1050 in the 1st stage and removing the powder dispenser for arm clearance. Works smooth and super fast with no damage to projectile. Very little tightening is used to remove projectile. Outstanding little tool!!!

There are those who say this product is not suited for pulling lead bullets. It may not be advertised by RCBS for this, but in my opinion it works better than anything else you could find. I had 350 rounds of lead .40 S&W that I bought years ago at a gun show (big mistake) and had suffered 4-5 case head separations with various guns. I really hated to toss the ammo, but disassembling with an inertia puller just did not seem practical. The RCBS collet puller with the .40 cal collet made a short afternoon's work and left me with primed brass and lead bullets to recast. The only problem I could see is that the bullet has to have some parallel surface to grip or you will have to stress the collet. I highly recommend this puller.

Worth every penny. Ive used impact pullers for several years, finally decided to give this little guy a whirl and wow. Pulled 300 .224 bullets from some 5.7x28's in about an hour. Not a single bullet was marred in any way and it was ridiculously easy. Wish I would have bought this years ago.
