I've used one for well over 2 thousand 7.62 and 30-06 cases with no problem. Those having problems must be forcing it or holding it at an angle. Hold it inline as it is designed to do and it works fine, nice clean cut. Yes, a hand tool is slow but, it does work quite well.

This tool is slow and difficult to use. If you have arthritis or carpal tunnel trouble at all, forget it.Force on the cutter must be just right or the cutter can force too deeply into the pocket, and bind.It's difficult to keep the centerline of the case aligned with the centerline of the tool. If they are misaligned, the tool will bind, and cut an elliptical pocket.I found the cutting teeth wore significantly after maybe 400 cases, and then a tooth broke off, making the tool into junk.

I've had to ream several brands of cases. Some take new primers easily, but others are factory crimped and need reaming. Tool is fast and easy.

I guess they have updated the design my cutter screws into the handle. But it is impossible to do military brass by hand. The only way I got it to work was take the cutter from handle and put in my electric drill and it took my pliers to hold the case. Before I used a common counter sink that work better than this product.No, I would not advise anyone to buy this reamer. This cost 6 times more than my counter sink.

Been using this to remove the crimp from CMP Surplus Greek 30-06 for my Garand. Put the reamer in the drill and it worked great. I used the wooden handle for my RCBS neck brushes.

This thing is junk. I had some mil brass I tried to removes the crimps on and it did about 4 of them and then the tool pushed INTO the handle. Now I am going to have to cut it out and stick it in a drill. Probably works better that way.

I took a different approach. I used the cutting head in my power drill, put the drill in a vise and locked it on. Then using leather gloves and holding tightly on to the cases, reamed each in a second or less. I have used this method for hundreds of cases with no obvious wear on the cutter. The included handle works just so-so but mine has not had any of the problems the others are describing. To me, just the cutter head is worth the price.

This tool is cheaply made, don't waste your money. The reamer pushed into the handle by the first few cases and everything went downhill from there. Less than 20 cases and it was totally unusable.
