Product Information

The Flipper is a unique vise block that will hold your AR-15 upper or lower receiver in place for repairs, installations and upgrades. One side will insert into the magazine well of your AR lower and provide a secure mounting point for a bench vise. Flip the block over, and it will insert just as easily into your upper receiver. Constructed of durable Delrin that will not scratch or damage your rifle.

The flipper stays in my vice almost all the time. I've used it for everything from building out stripped lowers to mounting scopes. If you have an AR then you'd be crazy not to have one of these.

built 20+ ar's and this block is the greatest tool for holding your lower change out barrels and do maintiance, holds it perfectly solid well made very strong many many years of use might buy one one more just to have a second when doing repairs on two lowers have one in each vice it does what it is supose to do and does it very well Thank You Midway USA the price is right on sale

$40 for a piece of ...

$40 for a piece of plastic? There is no question it's durable and it works very well. However, I'm going to be the first to comment this is way over-priced. At some point users have to address cost vs. benefit. Benefit is great but not the cost. My suggestion is buy a cheap/used/abused magazine and sacrifice it to the vise Gods. Better (I use) take a virtually indestructible PMAG and clamp it in a vice and don't worry about ruining a great 30-rd mag. Otherwise, if you have money to burn, this product is for you.

This has proven to be a very handy gadget that I have used quite a bit, particularly while cleaning. The only shortcoming that I can see is that the gas tube must be removed to use the Flipper to hold the upper receiver. The portion that fits the lower through the magazine well works like a dream.

I have used this product for many repairs and upgrades. It fits into my bench vise and can be held securely without any issues. The lower receiver fits nicely onto the delrin block. I have used the other side for upper receiver light repairs but prefer to use a receiver block for barrel installations. Repairs and upgrades are a snap with this tool however I would never attempt a barrel swap with this tool. The barrel nut torque is a minimum of 40 foot pounds and no more than 80 foot pounds. This would break the tool. It is a worthy investment that paid for itself in the first repair. No shop should be without one...or two.
