I bought this for my yugo m70ab2 underfolder. Krebs usually mentions when something won't work for yugos, but not this time. It went in fine, but the middle notch was too big, and allowed my trigger pin to come out with only a tiny bit of pressure. I emailed them and they said, yugos are different. I know they are, but then again they usually advertise this for their products, so I assumed it would work. Also, the middle notch in mine looks nothing like the middle notch in the picture here on midway, or krebs websight, for that matter. Mine's a lot bigger and squared off on one side.

Had the hammer pin walk out on me at the range. This part replaces the unreliable shepherd spring. Fit great and was truely a drop in piece on my WASR 10/63.

I am very aware and fond of Krebs products, so seeing this as well as the impressive reviews it was a no-brainer. I was impressed at the strength of the metal - very good quality at high strength. Unfortunately, I was disappointed at the relatively thin design - not because I feel it is weaker, but it added much side-to-side play to my trigger and the plate itself. The plate is 3/4 the thickness of the shepherds hook that I removed, so it fits, but because of the gap between the pin and plate, my trigger wiggles a bit sideways and you can hear the plate rattling when you pull the trigger, as the hammer spring makes contact. Now, I would be more forgiving if this was on a cheap AK design, seeing how Krebs probably built this thinner to give leeway to all the different AK models, but I own both a super low-end WASR-10 and my new high-end Arsenal SGL21 (which the plate was purchased for). The Krebs plate wiggled loosely in both devices. Now, to give credit to the device, it does lock my pins in place and does fit - unfortunately not perfectly as described in this message board. My trigger pin is in contact with the plate just barely. Yes, I know, it still retains the pin, but when I purchased a product with the intentions of durability it hardly seems I should swap this for my shepherds hook, which I can easily remove with the tools from my cleaning kit - at least the hook provides excellent retention and full contact with the pins as well as allowing no movement of. Again, the plate is high quality and it may work better in your firearms, but seeing how I already tried it in both my rifles to the same effect, I doubt this is the issue.

I bought this retainer ...

I bought this retainer plate to replace the retaining spring for my Norinco MAK 90 and it went on without a hitch. I used it along with the TAPCO G2 Double Trigger Hook and it aligned perfectly with the with the axis pins and it locks up with the slector pin to the left inner receiver wall. Before you do this it's important to clean the inner receiver free of powder or any metal fragments that may collected over time to ensure proper lock up. Once in place tap the axis pins to check they do not pop out of place. Lastly it is important to charge the bolt into battery making sure that it cycle right. After that you are good to go. I put 100 rounds through mine and it kept the pins locked and secured. If you have a MAK 90 this is a winner. Mine went on without any modifications it fits like a factory piece.

I think this works much better at holding the pins in the right spot, plus it is much easier to remove if you would want to install a new trigger or just to take out everything to clean it better. It's fairly easy to put on, just make sure to take a good look at everything before you remove the hammer and trigger assembly if you have never done it so you can remember how it all goes back together.
