The Tipton Rapid Bore Guide Kit protects the bore and action of your rifle by properly alligning the cleaning rod and reducing solvent overflow. The Tipton Rapid Bore Guide Kit will allign and secure each cleaning patch for solvent application, then hold it with the correct tension for perfect jag penetration. When the cleaning rod is pushed into the Tipton Rapid Bore Guide Kit, the patch is released. Keeps solvent off of the finish on your rifle. Includes storage case.

This is the greatest rod guide I have ever come across. First off, it fits everything that you can access the chamber on, from bolt action 22s on up to anything you got,to AR and AK rifles It is designed to keep solvents and debris out of your action. You insert the patch into the guide, use the included bulbs to put your solvent or lube on the patch, then run the rod through. It even comes with short and long rod guides so you dont need to use a overly long guide on a short action or a short guide on a long action. It even comes with muzzle guides for cleaning those guns you cant get from the breech. I really don't know how I got along without it. I ended up giving all my other rod guides away.

The idea behind this product is good: to provide a bore-guide set for a multiplicity of calibers and types of firearms. Since I do not have the full range (or even many) of the gun types for which this set was made, I cannot vouch for all its overall suitability. However, I can say that the brass muzzle-bore guide for .22 cal. is poorly designed and executed. I doubt that the maker ever tested it on a .22 muzzle, for, if he had, he would have realized it doesn't fit into the muzzle bore opening (the guide hole is too large - I also tried to fit the guide for .177 cal. into my .22, but it too was too wide - an even more egregious design error). May I suggest that Tipton reviews its small-caliber muzzle guides in this set and adjusts its product accordingly - simply not good enough for what is meant to be a good quality (and expensive), all-round guide set.

Not for many (all?) .22 ...

Not for many (all?) .22 bolt actions, because fixed-in-place ejectors will not allow the bore guide tube to fully enter the action. In fact, the tube is stopped from advancing about 1 1/4 inches short of reaching the breach end of the barrel. And, I have never found those tapered brass muzzle protectors to work worth a darn if you want to clean the barrel from the muzzle end.I like all the Tipton products I have bought - their rods, jags, patches, etc. - so this product was a big disappointment.

Well for the price it is ...

Well for the price it is a pretty good product the only problem that I came across was that in my Remington 700 with a 26" barrel. The Tipton rod would not reach the end of the barrel, just shortened the aluminum tube a couple of inches.

I bought this for my Savage Mark II 22 LR and it does not work. Will not go in the action. Contacted Tipton and was told it was not for 22 LR. Then was told to use the Tip Bore Guide, it doesn't work either. I'm sure it will work with larger weapons, just not with the Savage Mark II GXP 22 LR.

The handle or "easy" broke on day 1 as I attempted to remove it according to the directions. No matter b/c it binds the patch anyway. The product is overpriced and components made of plastic that don't fit well. For example, changing the end shaves plastic off the guide tube. Save your money on this one!

Tiptons rapid bore guide is outstanding. I use it to clean both my Knights Armament SR-15s. This bore guide puts the patches right in the center of the barrel providing constant pressure as you run patches through and its so easy. It keeps cleaning fluid out of the chamber. Makes cleaning fast & easy. Hope this helps if youre planning to buy one its worth it.

This bore guide is the BEST! I've been using it for about 2 months now, and I love it. It's all made of a plastic material so you don't have to worry about scratching anything. I tend to clean up my chamber first, so after I get done with that I slip the bore guide in and don't have to worry about getting any of my bore cleaning materials (solvents, pastes, ect.) down in the works. There was another one I was looking at before I got this, but it was out of stock so I decided to go with this Tipton model. Not sure how the other one would have been but I really don't care because I'm so pleased with this one. Not to mention that this comes with more options so you can use it on all your guns.
