The Hornady Media Sifter is an economical tool for separating your tumbling media from your brass. The plastic sifter allows you to easily separate your cases from media and may be placed on a bucket or the tumbler with the lid removed. The sifter has a hole in the center designed to fit on the threaded shaft on tumblers so you can shake the setup to loosen embedded media from cleaned cases.

Seems to be sturdy and ...

Seems to be sturdy and well made. I just wish they would have made it to fit into a 5 gal plastic bucket. It is too small in diameter, otherwise a good deal.

This would have been ...

This would have been better designed if the side walls were higher, so you could really "go to town" while shaking it without losing brass or media over the side. In any case you will need a media collecting pan of larger diameter than the sifter to catch all the media without it going onto the floor because vigorous shaking is needed to efficiently separate the brass from the media.
