The RCBS Pow'r Pull Impact Bullet Puller features a solid one piece body, innovative 3-jaw chuck that firmly grips the case rim. Just tap it on a solid surface as you would a hammer, and the powder and bullet drop into the main chamber for re-use. A soft cushion prevents any damage to bullet. Works with most centerfire cartridges from the 5.7x28mm FN and 22 Hornet up through the Winchester Short Magnum and Remington Ultra Magnum family of cartridges.

I've used this product for at least 5 years and it has been more durable than I expected ... amazingly so. As for the aluminum collet, I suspect that's a lawyer call because a steel collet used with cheapo steel-cased ammo might (one in a zillion times) cause a spark (?). I only use that collet when my press mounted collet puller can't pull a super tightly crimped bullet (mostly milsurp stuff), or I'm scavenging bullets from case sizes I don't reload for. I guess some folks don't notice that the shell-holders used in reloading presses fit perfectly in the head of this puller (at least the Lyman and RCBS shell-holders that I use fit), and they work fine. In fact, they fit so perfectly that I just assumed the puller was designed intentionally to allow shell-holders to be used instead of the aluminum collet.One more thing .... if you're pulling hundreds of bullets, you really ought to consider a press-mounted collet puller, I use a Hornady cam-lock, but RCBS makes a fine one, too (if you have to go green).

Just received 2 packages ...

Just received 2 packages of replacement collets for my original puller from RCBS. One package had the right size collets but only lasted through about 75 rounds and the aluminum edges gave out, these were 30-06 rounds. The second package had a collet piece that was obviously for a smaller cartridge and the rubber band that is supposed to hold them together fell off between about every other round pulled. Ordering the Frankford Arsenal tomorrow. The old style handle is strong and still going. These collets should be made of steel to last like other RCBS products.

I agree with most of the bad reviews. The handle has broken twice. The aluminum shell holders wear out quickly, they should be steel. I use a RCBS shell holder in mine and it works. I have had excellent service after contacting RCBS, they always send replacement parts for free when requested. Probably would be a better product if made in USA VS China.

It worked well... right up until the plastic cap that screws on suddenly shattered in my face about 5 minutes ago, throwing powder and debris all over the place. That's why I'm now on here looking at pullers. :-/I'll be choosing an other brand for my replacement.

I don't know if mine was defective but the bottom piece sheered off while I was hitting it on a piece of 2x4. Only lasted 3 years. My Frankford Arsenal that I use to hit on concrete lasted 10 years. I am going back to the cheaper Frankford Arsenal.

Aluminum collet couldn't handle the job. About 150 rounds of bullets pulled, it went useless. I had problem with RCBS die as well since their screw is too soft. Never recommend RCBS product.

I used this semi-frequently, probably pulled about 300 rounds with it. I had it less than one year and it broke at the handle while pulling some cast 9mm bullets! I switched to a Lee.
