This lube works great for ...

This lube works great for pan lubing bullets. I melt it in a Pyrex dish and put the bullets in, the next day I pull the bullets out with perfectly filled lube grooves. Results from my loads with real black powder shot in 45 colt and 44wcf have been stellar. No leading of any kind and I can shoot an entire match without having to do any cleaning at all. I heartily recommend this lube!

I purchased this product ...

I purchased this product for use on my .38/.357 cast bullets primarily because it was cheap. I pan lube, and hand size the bullets using an old Lee hand size kit. While the product performs well and doesn't allow the barrel to lead up, it's a sticky mess even at less than average room temperature. I had to constantly clean both the bullets (after seating) and my seating die of excess lube. I didn't have this trouble with some of the harder stick lubes. Works well in the gun though...

Good cheap black powder ...

Good cheap black powder lube. I use it in 45 caliber BPCR rifles and as a hollow base mini ball filler. I especially like it with the Lyman postell bullet. I get the nice muzzle tulip of lube with a 30 inch barrel and a duplex load. It is still good with straight black powder and I never have leading with this lube. Blow tube is necessary with straight black powder, but with 30:1 bullet, I can shoot 40 or so shots with top accuracy when I use Swiss powder and a .060 Walters wad. I fill the lube -sizer by using a big aluminum funnel and put the block in the sizer and melt it with a propane torch.

I purchased the DGL lube ...

I purchased the DGL lube as a lower cost alternative to SPG. I found it to be equally effective and easy to use. I would strongly recommend this product to anyone who pan lubes bullets.

I tried DGL lube in place ...

I tried DGL lube in place of SPG about a year ago. I have been using it to pan lube cast bullets for my 32/40 using smokeless powder. The only difference that I find between DGL and SPG is the cost. I definitely would recommend using DGL

I tried this as a less ...

I tried this as a less expensive alternative to SPG. I use it for cowboy action shooting in bullets used for 45 Colt and 44 WCF. I melt the lube and cast it in sticks for my Star luber/sizer. No heat is needed to make the lube flow through the sizer. The lube seems a little oilier than SPG but works fine. A good alternative for the price.
