Just mounted this scope on my Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22. The image through the scope was very clear and I was very impressed by it. I would recommend this sight to any shooter who needs an inexpensive good sight.

I put this scope on a standard Ruger 10/22. I would rate it as OK for the price. It was easy to sight in at 50 yards, and there was no noticeable parallax at that range, as advertised. There was no chromatic aberration, but the best focus wasn't quite as crisp as I would like to see. It performed well enough for me to hit consistent 1" patterns in the bulls eye.

Installed this about 1.5 years ago on a Ruger 10/22. After being mounted to a rail atop the receiver and truly sighted in, it has kept its zero. I generally shoot 50ft at an indoor range. At that distance with this rifle, it's just a matter of how much Swiss cheese I can make out of the paper. For the price, the scope looks good, and performs good.The only reservations I have are the adjustment caps can be a bit tough, but I'm sure that can be remedied with a little oil on the threads.If this is your first scope, go for it. Then spend more later and be able to appreciate the top of the line scopes.

I've got this scope mounted on a spring-powered pellet rifle which can be tough on a scope. It has held zero well without additional tweaking required. The optics are fairly clear in the center but there is significant distortion at the outer edges.

The optical quality seemed pretty nice for a low priced scope, but I ran out of elevation and windage trying to zero the scope. After playing with it for a while, I noticed that the tube was not the same diameter in the front and back. The crosshairs are also canted inside the scope. This scope is completely useless.

I installed the BSA 22 Special on a Marlin 39A. The small compact size seemed to fit with the size of the rifle. When sighting it in a 50 yards, I noticed that the image was out of focus and blurry. In addition, I could see rainbow colors (chromatic abberations) along the edge of images. I assumed that this was a defect in the scope lens coating and sent it back to BSA explaining the problem. Their warranty service was very good and prompt. They sent a brand new scope that was even worse than the first one and I found it to be unusable. I could not obtain a clear image at a 50 yard target. I have had good luck with BSA products in the past. I have a Sweet 17 that works very well for me but the 22 Special just does not live up to the quality of my past experience. I would suggest that the buyer consider a scope of better quality before using the 22 Special.

Nice little scope for the price. Perfect for a plinking 22 rifle. I have two, and they are fine for someone without great expectations. I think great expectations should spend five or ten times as much before complaining.

I've had my BSA 22 scope for over a year on my Marlin Papoose and had no trouble with it. Target acquisition is clear and has held true after first sighting in. Great for the price.
