The Otis All Caliber Rifle Cleaning System is ideal for all rifles including lever actions, bolt actions, and autoloaders. This premium cleaning system will clean all rifles from .17 caliber through .45 caliber. This kit contains three Memory-Flex cleaning rods; a 30" cleaning rod, an 8" chamber cleaning rod, and a 34" small caliber cleaning rod with a forged brass slotted tip. Also included are two solid brass slotted tips, two brass obstruction removers, a rod connector, a T-handle, a .5 oz tube of Otis O85 Ultra Bore Solvent, all-caliber cotton cleaning patches, and the .22 and .35 caliber bore brushes. The black nylon case comes standard with a locking zipper and belt loop attachment.

A bit overpriced for what you get...

Best part is how compact the kit is for travel or filed use. Worst part is the pull handle (small metal rod inserted through wire end) is a bit uncomfortable on the fingers. A bore snake works much better, but of course, doesn't have all the options (brush sizes, etc) that the Otis kit does.

Give the Otis a chance. Once you get used to installing the patches, it really works quite well and is easy to use. You don't have to worry about damaging your barrel, and you can use a patch several times, so it's not wasteful at all. It works kind of like a bore snake, so trying to force to tight a patch through your barrel or having the patch fall off and having to drag your bare jag back through are things of the past.

Great for small bore cleaning and teaching new shooters how to clean and tips and tricks for cleaning a firearms bore "the right way" and instructional video was vary easy for my ten year old to understand (my 5 year old attention span did not last quite long enough) and be able to clean his rifle for the first time with ease and surprisingly well. While it is more expensive then a lot of other routes you can go the small durable flex rod is ideal for all bore cleaning front to back (best for maintaining the bore in your firearm) in smaller firearms. Well worth the extra money!

Its the worlds most versatile field cleaner. More: its the best shotgun cleaner!! Fine for first cleaning of rifles, very good for rimfires!! Usable for pistols, dont use it for sixguns ( takes jags - Tipton )

I've used this on my 22-250 and my 30.06 and it has done a great job. Also works great on my rifled slug gun. Patches can be turned and reused (per intructions) or standard patches can be modified to use; use Otis patch as a pattern, works but not as well. I would highly recommend this product.

This kit has been great for shooting my Encore .308 14" barrel with reduced loads. Each shot required cleaning unburned powder from the barrel until I got a workable load. The brass tips and coated wire rope were easy on the barrel. And the "pull through" action instead of "push through" action was easier to do since I didn't have a stand to hold the gun still. Also, being able to use one cloth over and over again added to the ease of use.
