I started using this rod and accidentally broke the end adapter that the brush and patch loop screw into. I called Tetra and was told they would get back to me. After not hearing from them after several calls, I emailed them requesting a replacement. I made it clear that I would pay for the part. They never got back to me. Dewey, on the other hand offers replacement ends in their web site at a very reasonable cost. My conclusion isTetra could care less while Dewey is customer conscious. BUY DEWEY RODS!

Bought one of these rods. As others said bends easily and coating wears off after only a few passes. Stay away from these rods.

I like mine. I've got a 22 and a 30 cal tetra rod and have not had any problems with either. Like the case the come in for storage. Never had a problem with bending as others have had. I use jags and tight fitting patches for most of my cleaning and they've worked great.

Rod will bend very ...

Rod will bend very easily. It was stated that it was 3/16 rod diameter. It is actually about .200 to .208. It had a bend when I received it and it won't straighten without getting a new bend. I have Dewey rods and they are spring steel. They always return to straight after bending. Buy a Dewey rod.

I agree with the other reviewer in that this rod bends VERY easy. Also, the so-called coating wore off the end of the rod within 3 passes.

The rod is OK but only ...

The rod is OK but only after I had to fix the pin that holds the handle to the cleaning rod. It sheared off so I replaced the pin with a small finishing nail and sanded the ends flush. I've had no problem with it since then.
