It's a good addition to your factory buttstock to provide extra cushioning on your shoulder. It fits my Smith & Wesson M&P 15 factory buttstock. Fitment is snug without any play. If there's one thing I would like to change on it's design is the thickness around the sides. It just looks a tad bigger looking at your buttstock's end plate.

Does not make for a good recoil pad but it works great for a larger butt plate. It is not very soft and flexible so it will not absorb felt recoil but it does allow me to position my M4 correctly without having the point of the stock butt plate digging into my shoulder.

This pad fit perfectly ...

This pad fit perfectly not only on my Tapco AK collapsible stock, but also on my Blackhawk Axoim R/F stock on my 10/22, which slightly helped increase the very short lop on the blackhawk stock. It adds around 1/2" to the lop. The pad does little as far as absorbing recoil, not that the ak is a hard kicker, but it does a very good job of dispersing the energy over a larger area. The footprint of the pad is both taller and wider, so the recoil is spread over a larger area. The rubber is ribbed and grippy so that it rests more securely in shooting position. It also keeps the gun from sliding and falling when it is leaned against something while on a smooth surface. Definitely worth the meager cost, because it will make the gun a little easier to handle and shoot well. I would like to give it 4.5 stars. It would get 5 stars from me, except it is not very soft, which reduces its ability to control recoil. Why manufacturers seem to like making recoil pads that are almost as hard as a wood stock is beyond me. Seems like they would have caught on to Limbsaver's success.

A follow up to my previous review. If you own a big bore AR and want to use your standard collapsible stock, this is a "Must Have." This little item takes the sharp edges of the butt completely out of play. A recoil sensitive friend shot my 450 BM this past weekend and never even mentioned the recoil!

I have two, one installed on a Tapco collapsible, the second on a generic M4 type 6 position. As you probably know there's little difference. The fit is very good, considering it's just a slip over. Much thicker, although not as soft as I had hoped. Trying on a 450 Bushmaster. It's got to be better than the sharp edge on the OEM. I give it the five star rating based on quality appearance, good fit on multiple brand stocks and installation couldn't be easier.

Amazing product. Originally purchased for the T6 stock on my AK, but found it would work on the M4 style stock on my Stag Arms AR lower. Reduces felt recoil and protects against the sharp edges of the plastic stocks. I highly recommend this product!
