By simply installing the Accu-Wedge underneath the takedown pin lug on the upper receiver, the "slop" found on many AR-15 rifles can be reduced or eliminated. Removal of the slop can result in increased accuracy and more reliable feeding.

This is truly a "drop in" item that will benefit any AR owner. The fit is snug to be sure but then that IS the point after all.... to help remove the play between the upper and lower receivers. For all the fix-it's out there for the AR's, this one is maybe the best bang for the buck an AR owner can get for increased accuracy down range. (especially long range varmint shooters looking for every bit of a tighter group to be had @ 200-300 yards) The wedge is a great, INEXPENSIVE upgrade to a new or old AR type rifle. Grab one and you won't be sorry.

Before you buy one make sure that it will fit your AR. The Accuwedge is meant for low shelf ARs. Search the web for low shelf ar15 to find out what you have. Low shelf ARs have an area cut out and high shelf receivers do not. Bushmaster/DPMS are low shelf and will have the room for it. Armalite/Colt/Rock River are high shelf and it will not fit correctly. If you want to hack it you can, but you should not have to. In stock form it should fit fine. Im giving it a 1/5 because this is something that DPMS should tell people about. Ive got an Armalite it wont fit in and thats how I found out about the whole high/low shelf thing.

I tried to install it in Palmetto State Armory lower and it's just way too big. After cutting it down to about .15'' it was still too much for upper to close, even with pushing it down with some force. While it might work in other rifles, don't bother if you have PSA lower.

Had to cut off about 90% of the bottom to fit a Stag 2H, but it does work like it should. there is a huge difference in tolerances between manufactures of AR15s, Ive seen these wedges drop in on some weapons and on others it not even fit. Good thing these little rubbers are only a few bux. Also i dif notice the rubber used on the DPMS wedge is a bit more stiff than that of the other manufacture (ERGO) that makes the same part.

Inserted in my Del-Ton Sporter and all the shake and rattle is gone. Need to get to range for accuracy check but I would say it will be positive. Not a gunsmith and no instructions but does not take long to figure out how to put it in the lower end all the way to the rear and behind the back holes that hold the upper to the lower end. Will need to push down and click pin in place. Rattle GONE!

Looks great in theory. I think it is a great item for regular upper bolt lugs. My DPMS High Rise rear bolt lug is squared and chunky so if I were to whittle this Wedge to a fit, it'd probably shore up the side to side sway of the upper.

Had to shave/cut the bottom part but after that, upper sat in place and was really snug! It feels like a cheap rubber piece, but it does it's job.

Agreed, an absolute must have for any AR build. Even those with minor slop, rattle, or movement in the receivers, this wedge will definitely improve your feel and shot groups. It definitely made me a believer. I must admit, at first I was skeptical about a little rubber wedge being able to stop the slop in my first AR build, but I was more than pleasantly surprised when it did just that. It eliminated the rattle, puts constant upward pressure (although, makes it a little tight when reassembling, but well worth it!), and brought my MOA in from 1.5" down to 1.1" @ 100yds. (Rock River ATH upper/ LRB lower) Depending on your rifle, it may need minor trimming off the bottom for a proper fit.

Do not buy this product if you have a small amount of play in between your upper and lower receivers, only if you have a lot of play!!! It will cause firing issuses otherwise.
