ProMag magazine bodies are constructed of high carbon heat-treated steel and TIG-welded for strength. The springs are precision wound using heat-treated chrome silicon wire. Bases and followers are injection molded from polymers selected for their durability. The result is quality, consistency, durability and reliability.

I have a newer model 995TS and one of these "newer model" ProMag HIP-A3 15 round mags. I have had no problems at all. It clicks into place nicely. It has the cutaway that the originals didn't have. Even the original older style Hi-Point's had problems. If you check out the Hi-Point website and look at the sling installation manual you will find a diagram of the old ones with the warning not to use the older Hi-Point and aftermarket mags that don't have the clearance for the follower to keep the bolt open after the last round. This one works great.

I purchased two brand new ...

I purchased two brand new magazines and out of the box neither works reliably in my 995TS. These magazines are cursed with nose dives and are all but useless in their stock form. This is especially true if you load them to anywhere near the full capacity of 15 rounds. Typically the first round in the magazine will load and fire then the following two to five rounds will nose dive. If you load the magazine to 10 rounds you might have better success but then what is the point of buying a 15 round magazine? The standard Hi-Point OEM magazines do not have this same problem. There are various proposed tweaks that you can perform to these magazines that are supposed to make them function better but they should just work out of the box. I would return them but a. I knew they had a bad reputation when I bought them and b. I have decided that I will have a play at "fixing" them. I recommend sticking with the OEM magazines even though they only hold 10 rounds.

Can not get it to feed right. It only works some of the time with 10 or 11 rounds in it. I have not once gotten it to feed with all 15 in it.

I have way to many toys according to my wife,but up gradeing them is one of my joys in life.I own all three of the carbine calibers from HI-PIONT and they are great fun to share with my gran-son.These little add-ons work nicely to add a difference in the outing.I have had no falts with the magazines and would say,well worth the money.

Ordered two on Friday got on Monday. Test fired both today. No jams or other problems except magazine will not eject from gun. I have to pull out manually. Not a big deal to me but that is why I only gave it 4 stars. If it would have ejected I would have given it 5 stars.

failure to feed

I have the newest model of the highpoint 995ts. The magazine fits, but after the first round the second always fails to feed. There are very clear differences of design between this and the factory highpoint mag. I have been trying to modify it to work since i dont want a refund i just want a working 15rd mag, but so far i have been unsuccessful. Maybe its just luck of the draw since some people say they work perfectly, but from the difference in design i would say most probably wont work properly. I will not be buying another unless a new model comes out that fixes these design flaws. I do not recommend that anyone buy this. Better off getting more 10rd hipoint made mags.

Put a knife on it!

This mag is the biggest waste of time...IT WILL NOT FEED. I've taken it apart, smoothed out all the edges on the follower, and adjusted the feed lips. Finally I've gotten it to feed 50% of the time, the other 50% I get FTF and FTE ONLY with the "Promag". They should put a knife on the end of it so when your carbine jams you could at least throw IT at the target. From the performance you'd think this thing was made for a Hi-Point pistol.

DO NOT BUY

I also read the reviews and thought that won't happen to me. I have a new 995 TSFG and it did happen to me. I will be returning the two I purchased in exchange for the 10 round mags. The follower is the issue as well as the spacing at the top. If you hold the 10 round mag next to this one you can see this follower lays flat and ultimately causes the round to misfeed when loaded with 10 or more.

I believe the issue with this magazine is how the round is loaded, after using two different ProMag magazines the first and third round would always jam. It became obvious that when loading the round into the magazine make sure the round is in full contact with the rear of the magazine, if the round is just inserted it will cause the angle of the following round to be off causing the round to jam.
