The Streamlight TLR-1S Tactical Illuminator Weaponlight is ideal for use on most firearms with a rail and installs in just a few seconds. This model features Streamlight's C4 LED technology which provides up to 300 lumens of peak output, 25 lumens more than the original TLR-1, and the TLR-1S adds a strobe setting that is great for disorienting assailants. The light will run for up to 2-1/2 hours on 2 CR123A batteries (included). The body of the TLR-1S is constructed of rugged aluminum and is water and shock resistant as well as dustproof. The TLR-1S is covered by Streamlight's "No Excuses" lifetime warranty.

This is the best weapons light I've seen yet for under a few hundred bucks. It is brighter and just as cool as the overpriced Surefire ones. This one is a little brighter than the plain TLR-1, which is also very good. Streamlight is leading the pack now with this new led technology. Sorry, Glock your Glocklight can't hold a candle to go by when compared to this one! By the way, this thing is very bright! Thanks midway for offering it.

I would have given this light the 5 star rating if it weren't for the difficulty of using the strobe feature. You have to "double tap" the momentary switch and hold it down on the second tap to activate and keep the strobe going. Fairly useless in a high stress encounter if you ask me. I was really looking forward to getting this after reading such high reviews of the TLR-1, and with the strobe added what more could you ask for? The light itself is just fine, well made and very bright. I bought this mainly to use on a quad rail of an AR-15 and sometimes a Glock. I would have been much happier if the switch was a push button with the strobe staying on when selected, but it's awkward to use if your using a vertical foregrip no matter how you mount the light. Especially if you have to keep a finger extended pushing on the momentary rocker switch to use the strobe feature.

I don't know how other people have problems with this... the instructions are a simple two step to replace the batteries. Granted, it doesn't give much insight in the instructions of how to use the strobe, but after 1 minute of playing with it it was easy to figure out. Push the switch in the strobe direction, and immediately push it again. If you are quick and push it over to the constant light you can hold a constant strobe hands free. Overall, great. I have it mounted on my AR15, and it fits nicely, small and compact. It's bright enough to get the job done, and isn't too heavy which keeps the balance good.

I just received this light and am very impressed. The light mounts solidly and is very bright. The controls are VERY easy to use. I don't understand why so many people say the strobe feature is hard to activate. After 3 attempts I have no issues using momentary or contstant strobe. If you can hit a button twice, you can run the strobe feature. Midway was great as always also. The light was supposed to arrive in 5 days but made it in 2.

Mine sits at the end of a 10.5" barreled AR-15, so it gets a lot of punishment from flash/concussion. Over a year, and no issues. Just have to keep a bit of Vaseline on the glass to keep powder residue from building up. I've illuminated and hit targets at 50 yards with this.

Very glad I bought the TLR1-s! Very bright, easy to install...I put mine on my FNP-45. I don't understand the reviews that say the strobe is hard to use. Its very easy to choose between steady light or strobe, haven't been to the range with it yet, but so far I'm very satisfied.

Hard to beat. I use this on both ar-15 and my class III shotgun.Its big on a pistol but the bad guy wont mind at all.Remember:Its dark half of the time- the chances of you getting into a gunfight in the dark is 50%.buy any kind of light and train with it.......

Fantastic weapon light for the price. Battery instalation instructions were unclear. You must push the unlocking flap all the way back until the battery door pops open. Then you can swing the door open. As for the strobe, you must press the paddle switch to the momentary position, release, then very quickly press and hold the switch. Too much time between each press and the strobe won't activate. This light is very high quality and is more than adequate for most situations. No regrets!

This is one of the most affordable weapon lights for the price - 160 lumen peak with a nice hotspot in the middle. For home defense this is one of the best out there. I love the output having a hotspot with plenty of spill. That is the main aspect that kept me from a Surefire which only puts out a hotspot with a minimal spill. The only reason it doesn't get a 5 star rating is because the strobe is not easy to manipulate 100% of the time. The time between the first tap and the second tap is very small to activate the strobe, and locking it in the down position to stay on is an even smaller window. I can't lock it on using my trigger finger and must use two hands. If the time between the first and second tap to activate the strobe was longer, this would be an easy 5 star rating.
