The PAST Super Mag Plus Shield is designed to provide the highest protection level of any PAST Shield. With the maximum amount of absorbing protection, shooting even the biggest calibers is tolerable. The comfortable leather cover conforms to the body while the energy-absorbing foam insert dramatically reduces felt recoil.

Recommended Uses:

Provides protection from recoil from rifles up to 7mm and beyond

Ambidextrous

Contoured to fit the shooter's body (over the shoulder and onto the arm design protects more of your peck, shoulder, and bicep for benchrest shooting with larger calibers).

I have had one of these for over ten years and it works as good today as it did when it was new. This is one of the most effective ways to control flinching there is. I can sight in several rifles or shotguns and walk away NOT feeling as if I have just been punched in the shoulder twenty or thirty times. If you consider the cost in relation to the benifit, it's a no brainer. Anyone who expects to do accurate shooting from a bench will be better off with one of these. It reduces felt recoil as if you had put a bag of sand between your shoulder and the butt of your gun except this thing is so thin you hardly notice it. Try it, you have nothing to lose except your flinch.

I have had two PAST recoil shields and have used them for several years. They make shooting any long gun more pleasurable. That said I bought this for my daughter. It says it is ambidextrous. It is just a left handed shield turned inside out...and looks like it.

I use this for the bench shooting. Starts getting pretty stiff when the temp dips below 45, but a heavy coat works as a pad too. The vest /strap shoulder thing didnt work well for me. I cut the pad off of that and use it as a sissy bag. That seems to work best for me. Warm t shirt weather I use this thing and its pretty nice. I think it beats a sand bag as a sissy bag.

Excellent product! Takes all the recoil out of a 45/70 Guide Gun at the bench rest. Cannot wait to use it with the 375 H&H. Adds a little over an inch to length of pull.

I have issues with my rotator cuff and bought this pad prior to taking a 3 day precision rifle class. I shot with a .308 Remington SP for three days and experienced no pain and actually feel better after the class than I did before! My partner was shooting a AR10 and had a dislocated shoulder years ago. We shared my pad for the last day of the class. I don't think he could have completed the course if I had not let him use this. Great piece of gear.

Shooting my new .375 H&H Magnum for the first time, I was a little nervous about recoil. With the Super Mag Plus shield, it felt like shooting my .280! Shot up a whole box of ammo today with no soreness. Great product.

I borrowed one of these to shoot a vintage military match last weekend using a Mosin Nagant 9130. That metal butt plate will get you after about 5-10 rounds or so holding tight. With this pad here, I did the whole match no problem. I like this heart shaped one best because it covers more area of the shoulder and the collar bone.

Let me preface this by saying I have, possibly, the coolest job in the world. I test firearms for a living. We conducted a test on a selective fire rifle that fires 7.62 NATO. In a span of 2 weeks, 64,000 rounds were fired with this weapon on my shoulder. I wore the Past Super Mag Plus Recoil Pad for those 2 weeks. Let's just say, I have NO bruising, NO soreness, NO adverse affects from the weeks of punishment. I love this Recoil Pad! ...So much, I bought a second one...

Awesome! If shooting any type of magnum rifle you need one of these. I shoot .470 NE and I could not shoot it with out my pad!
