Unbeatable for shooting from medium to close range, the BSA Laser Sight projects a small red beam onto your target. Adjustable for windage and elevation, this sight comes with two sets of mounting rails. One for 22 rimfire/Air rifles and the other for standard Weaver-style bases. The BSA Laser Sight also comes with two switches, one on the sight and the other a pressure sensitive switch and wire that mounts on the gun. Three 1.5 volt batteries included. Covered under a 1 year limited warranty.

I mounted one on the underside of an AR-15 front handguard. No weaver mount -- I just groved the handguard rib with a dremel and it stays secure. The angle of the handguard places the dot right on top of the front sight post at 50 ft. -- what I consider the maximum range for daylight use.I have had zero problems with it; it holds its zero (which I never had to adjust), and replacement batteries (available at any good camera store) are $5 for the 3 required. The reason I know this is that I use the laser without the pressure switch and the "on" button was accidentally depressed in the case for too long. To prevent this, it is easy to transport with the pressure switch plugged in (disabling the main switch), and then unplug it for my preferred type of use.

This little laser sight had great potential and at first I was very excited about it. I mounted it on my Marlin .22 995SS rifle with no trouble and had it sighted in after only about 12 shots. I was shooting 1" groups at 15 yards. But after about 20 press/depress cycles on the main switch, it wouldn't stay on anymore. It was supposed to be "push-on/push-off" but it became simply a momentary contact. I found that if I rapped it quickly with my finger, kind of like how you might knock on a door, it would catch and stay on, but that is not how you want to be activating it when after varmints. And, as another reviewer mentioned, the pressure switch option exhibited very erratic operation and would not operate at all unless you jiggled and fiddled with the connector. BSA had a great idea at a great price but their execution and quality control leave much to be desired.

Received mine with defective weaver rail mounts, they were unfinished and lacked the surface that grips the bottom of the rail, which are clearly visible in the product photo Midway has. BSA warranty department tells me mine are how it's supposed to be. I thought I was buying a cheap laser sight, instead it turns out I bought an expensive cat toy.

At first this seemed like a good unit. It installed quickly, and had a bright laser. I installed it on my Glock 22, it first fell off of my 22LR conversion after about 30 rounds. When I reinstalled it, making sure it was very tight, I switched to .40, it went flying into the range after 8 rounds. Had to stop the whole range to go get it. Never even had a chance to try to zero it.Good price, but not worth it.

I purchased this along with a rail system for my AK-47. It seems to work ok, but when mounted on a rifle, the soft carrying case I had it in managed to push the button and it was dead when I went to use it the day after mounting it. Takes 2 Energizer 357 batteries. The adjustments for windage and elevation are easy enough, and they use a small allen wrench. I found that the mount was rather difficult to install. It seems simple, but the sight keeps falling out while trying to put the mount on the gun. In all, a decent product, I'm sure that there are better sights out there and I'm sure that there are worse ones out there too.

I got this sight today. People know that you get what you pay for. I paid 25 bucks and got a $25 sight. I mounted it onto my Taurus 24/7 pro. It holds O.K. but if you tighten the bracket too much the button sticks. It was way off when I put it on but I set the sight and it held on like a champ. Where the rails link up to the top of the sight there is a 1.5 mm slot you can wedge a small piece of metal in to hold the mount enough to keep the button from sticking. 50 rounds later its still holding strong with minor adjustments along the way.

You get what you pay for. This unit is made for airguns and plinking, and it is not to be confused with the "serious" lasers. The switch is prone to accidental activation (and therefore failure with dead batteries), the pressure switch connection does not lock in and can easily be knocked out of the jack and (at least on my unit) if the pressure switch jack is pressed all the way in it does not make reliable contact so the pressure switch may not work without jiggling. This is not the unit to rely on if you are in harm's way. The mounting options also do not include a barrel mount. I would use this unit for plinking or to try out a laser but would spend a little more for a better unit than this one if you need reliability.

I have been using one of these laser sights on a .308 tactical assault rifle and it has worked perfectly. No shift from recoil and beam is visible at 300 yds. at dusk. Control cord is just long enough to reach rifle grip without any excess wire. It has a nice velcro re-attachable feature on the touch pad which works well for weapon maitenance.I have it mounted on a integrated rail system.

For the price, it's great. And for the person who opens a 12,000 sq. ft. building in the very low light, it's comforting to have. Two things are deficient: the pressure switch on mine was defective (I hadn't planned on using it anyway) and the on/off button is easily bumped which turns the unit on or off at inopportune times. A depress-and-slide switch would be more reliable. That red dot would be a great deterrent!

This is a great little laser sight for the money. The only drawback is you cant use your iron sights with it unless you customize the laser to mount under the barrel. I found it clamps perfectly under the barrel of my Daisy 1000 pellet rifle and makes dusk or dawn shooting really easy. I was able to use the hardware that came with the sight. Perfect for small game hunters.
