With this Otis Deluxe Rifle and Pistol Cleaning System, you can clean and maintain all of your rifles and pistols from 17 caliber to 45 caliber. It contains three Memory-Flex cleaning rods: a 30" flexible rod, an 8" flexible rod, and a 34" small caliber flexible rod, as well as seven bore brushes: 22, 25, 27, 30, 35, 38, and 40 caliber. This kit does not contain a .45 ACP brush, but the included patches are large enough to clean the bore of a firearm chambered in .45 ACP. Also included are two brass slotted tips, two obstruction removers, a bore reflector/flag safety, and two 1/2 oz tubes of Otis O85 Ultra Bore Solvent.

This is the answer to cleaning ALL types of rifles and handguns, especially at the range or in the field..I own several Otis systems. One in my range bag, and one in my reloading bench. I shoot many caliber Lever action and semi-automatic rifles. I also shoot automatic and a wheel revolvers. When I first seasoned the barrels I found the Otis cleaning system unmatched in speed or results. When seasoning a barrel, I clean the barrel after each round fired for 50 rounds. Then I increase the cleaning to after 6 rounds (2 groups of 3). This makes future cleaning easier and I believe it has increase the accuracy. In the past I never knew about seasoning barrels on new firearms. I would have shots all over the place, no groupings to rave about. Since seaoning, I rarely, very rarely have a flyer. When I do, it's not the rifle, but me. I have purchased additional Otis kits. I can have one wire rod set up with the cleaning brush and the other set up with the cleaning patches. It is not necessary or prudent to remove the bolts to clean the barrels. It is just a matter of feeding the wire rods into the receiver and pulling them out the muzzle. This keeps all the debris from falling into the receiver. This is invaluable saving me time and effort, which allows me more time at the range. I might add buy the Panoply patches. They are thicker and save you money and time. They are fantastic. I can use each patch 6 times by using the pre-cut holes provided in them. The cleaning solvent is one of the best I have found. I couldn't function as well without these kits. Thank you Otis.

Good System. Very easy and quick cleaning. Would rate higher if it had come with a brush to clean my 45 Colt like it says in description.

I just can't see the hype ...

I just can't see the hype over this kit. It cleans nowhere near as good as rods and jags will. It has too many small parts that in my case, spill out every time that I unzip the case. You need to keep the instructions with the kit to make the proper pinch on the overpriced patches, which you will not get 6 uses out of, unless you like putting dirty patches down your gun's bore.I gave it two stars, only because I suppose it would make a good field cleaning kit, if you need that sort of thing. I'll stick with my BoreSnakes for that though.

We are issued these with M-4's now in the Marine Corps. I miss the old kits with metal rods we use to keep in the butt stock.This kit is full of small pieces they have to be assembled (try it with oil all over you hands) the little oil bottle is good for about 3 cleaning then try refilling it. threading the cable and pulling it through 20 times is a pain. This not what it's cracked up to be.

I really like this product! Fits easily into BDU's or range bag. If you watch the video and browse the instructions, it is extremely easy to use. Especially like being able to clean the bore without stripping gun down. This is great when all day at the range!!! I bought more kits to give to family at Christmas!

I clean my guns religiously, everything from .22 up to .44 caliber. This kit does an awful lot. As the other reviewer wrote, it beats a brass rod hands down. The patches are high quality and the system is very clever. Be sure to read the instructions carefully.
