Hornady SST Bullets combine proven Hornady performance with a high ballistic coefficient. The sharp, pointed polymer tip creates a fast, flat shooting bullet. Cant get much better

Been loading these ballistic tips for a 30-06 bolt action for about 4 years now, and have been through a few hundred rounds, target shooting and hunting.. These bullets are consistent with i a 2" grouping, they impact great, and bellow well.. only reason i give this product a 4 star is because every now and then i will get a few bullets that the red tip just simply break off with very little effort, doesnt change the way the bullet flies, but its an imperfection.. still cant go wrong with these bullets..

Excellent performance in .308 Win.

I have loaded 200 of these on my Dillon Precision XL650 progressive reloader using new Winchester cases. My load is 43.8 grains of Reloader 15 using Winchester large rifle primers and I achieve consistent powder loads of + or - .1 grains. With this recipe being shot out of my Remington/DPMS R-25/LR308 with a 20" target crowned barrel and free floated forend I am shooting consistent .5 MOA 5 shot groups at 100 yards and sub .6 MOA 5 shot groups at 200 yards.

Excellent in both 308 win and 300 rum. Groups well and really opens up. Exit wounds on deer are awesome. Not going to be doing any tracking with this bullet. I switched from Nosler for the price and could be happier.

Started using this bullet two years ago. best group I shot was 3 bullets touching at 100 yards. Loaded for my grandson he loves the bullet. Both of us are shooting 30.06. I am shooting a TC Venture and it does shoot sub 1 inch groupes. This is very good ammo for the money. Killed three bucks last year all dead in their tracks. Grandson killed doe at 80 yards ran 20 yards with good blood trail. thanks Hornady

Been loading this bullet for my 30-06 for a year now and have not been shooting anything but paper with it. It shoots under 1" groups at 100 yards and typically leaves clover leaf sized groups at 100 if I do my part. Today I shot a 175 russian boar with this bullet. Bullet went through shoulder, and out the other side. After dressing animal the heart had a 1/2" hole in it and the lungs were in several pieces. Bullet left a 1" exit wound in opposite shoulder. Pig dropped in its tracks. Thanks Hornady!

I used these last year for white tail, and their performance was excellent. They did their part, even with my terrible shot placement. I shot a buck in the hip, shattered the right femur and the pelvis and came out the belly. Not too ideal, but it didn't run more than 10 yards.

Have shot this bullet out of my .300 Win Magnum for about 5 years now, and all I can say is wow! When I hit a deer with them from 50 to 250 yards, when I recover from recoil and look through the scope, I usually see four feet sticking in the air. I cannot report on expansion, because I have never recovered one. I also think they have toughened up this bullet since they first came out. For my .300 and my .270, this is the brand of bullet they get fed, and both shoot close to 1/2 inch 100 yard groups with them. Thanks Very much Hornady.

Ive hesitated to post this review as it may be more about the rifle than the projectile. The target on my office wall hasn't changed, however. My Swiss K31 (7.5x55) with a 16x tactical scope on a perfectly calm day posted a three shot group of .835" at 300 yards. Load particulars for K31 fans are: H4831 SC/WLR primer/165 sst/ PRVI brass/ 3.085" oal. Load is under max in the Sierra 5th edition manual. My rifle has been "throated" due to the notably short k31 throat so this length may be too long for your rifle. Instrumental velocity over an Oehler Model 33 chrono = 2575fps. I don't expect this accuracy to be replicated on demand, but I have to try this rifle/load in upcoming F-class open match in a few months. Stay tuned.

Have only used for target work in both 308 win and 30-06. Overall rounds performed well, however don't group quite as good as A-Max equivalent. 1" MOA vs. .5 MOA. However, still plenty adequate for hunting purposes.

Accurate & Deadly! I have shot whitetails from 50-250 yards. This bullet has never failed me. On paper at 100 yards I can cover 5 shots from a bench with a quarter (much better than factory ammo) and on deer it leaves an exit wound large enough internal organs may fall out (ok maybe a slight exaggeration). Rifles are 308 browning leaver gun and savage bolt action. Both are loaded over RL15 powder.
