The Pact Digital Precision Powder Scale (DPS) is an electronic scale that quickly and accurately weighs up to 1500 grains or 100 grams. It is accurate to +/- 1/10 of a grain and features an infra-red data port which allows the scale to link with PACT Digital Precision Powder Dispenser (sold separately). AC powered only - adapter included. Powder pan and 2 check weights are also included.

Notes:

Comes with an Infrared Data Port. This allows the scale to transmit weight data via a beam of invisible infrared light to the PACT Digital Precision Powder Dispenser.

Scale can also print weights through the data port to a HP 82240 portable printer.

Printer and Powder dispenser will not both work at the same time.

Covered by a limited lifetime warranty, except for the load cell which is NOT covered. The load cell can be ruined by dropping, improper handling or transportation with inadequate packaging.

Accurate to within .1 grain +/-. Picks up every little vibration and wind current. CALIBRATE BEFORE EACH USE, no matter how long the power has been off or how much you have to weigh. Stays pretty accurate, but is also sensitive to temperature changes. Allow to sit for at least a day when unpacking to ensure best accuracy and reliability.Easy to calibrate and gives fast readings.

I've used this scale for appx 200 rounds worked great and was very stable at first. Now it will not hold zero. Constantly flashes tarre (error). I can weigh the same charge 4 times and get 4 different readings fluctuating up to 3 grains.

I maded the mistake of buying the PACT. Mine quite working in 6 months, wouldn't zero wandering between zero and 3 grains or more with nothing in the pan. Unit will no longer calibrate. This thing is not worth the money paid for it.

I've had mine since 1993. It worked really well after I learned what not to do. They don't like drafts and if you're loading in a room that the temperature changes in, the scale will drift and display error. It will also do this for an hour or so after you start it up. Once warmed up and if it's in a room where the temperature is stable it's accurate and fairly fast. Good balance beam scales are also sensitive to drafts and I like being able to see how much over or under a weight is, rather than just try to get a scale to balance. A question for anyone with a newer electric scale. Are the newer ones faster than the older ones? I'm considering a new one and would like to know if I have anything to gain by getting a new one.

I have owned this scale and the matching powder dispenser for 2 years with no failures. The scale is easy to use, accurate, durable, and worth the money. Once mated to the dispenser and calibrated, it is truly fire and forget.

I've been using this scale for over 6 years now without a hitch. It is a bit sensitive to vibration and air currents, so ensure that you turn-off your paddle fan and keep it away from your reloading press at least 12". It calibrates very easily and I have complete confidence that it is accurately weighing each powder charge in the pan. I'm going to retire this scale and buy another one. Most highly recommended!

I have used this scale for over a year now and was ready to throw it out the window. Then I discovered that I had static electricity around my work bench. Grounded everything, and now it is perfect. I can load hundreds of rounds without a problem. I check it with my check weights on a regular basis and only have to recalibrate it after having been turned off for several days. I hope this will help some of the less satisfied customers.

I have been using the PACT digital scale for over 10 years and have been very happy with the accuracy and stability. I let the scale warm up for a minimum of 30 minutes and calibrate per the instructions. When I am reloading I usually check every 5th powder charge and if the weight is different from the intended charge by more than +/- 0.1 gr. I use check weighs to verify the scale accuracy, invariably it has been the powder measure that needs adjustment not the digital scale drifting or needing recalibration. My RCBS 1010 beam balance has been boxed up and on the shelf for years.

Product worked for 10 years no problem. Sent it to them for "lifetime warranty" That they are charging me $45 for, and they have had it for almost 4 weeks now and it hasn't even gone to the tech shop yet.

Used it for just over 90 days with no significant issues. Then one of the LCD burned out in the display. Since it was past 90 days, Midway gave me the PACT address to send it in for repair or replacement. Two weeks after they have had it, PACT still haven't touched it, and won't give me any commitment. I should have spent the extra money and bought a Dillon.

The scale itself is great & easy to use. Directions to use don't require you to have a college degree. The only downside is actually the same thing that makes it so great. It's so sensitive to any vibration that a slight breeze or vibration that you probably need to re-zero it.
