Nosler Ballistic Tip Hunting bullets have been trusted by hunters for nearly 25 years. They are precision made and individually inspected for the utmost quality which translates to incredible accuracy with every shot. The heavy jacket base prevents bullet deformation during firing and holds together at extreme velocities as well as a polycarbonate tip that resists deformation in the magazine and initiates expansion upon impact. The bullet's mid-section keeps it together at any velocity until impact, and a uniform, pure lead core eliminates possible imbalance and erratic flight caused by air pockets. Great for thin-skinned game like deer, antelope and sheep. This is not loaded ammunition.

This is THE bullet which my Model 70 Winchester 6.5 X 55 likes - a very accurate bullet. Performance-wise it performs like a true big game bullet. I have taken four caribou with it all of which expired quickly with little loss of meat. This bullet does not blow up as some bullets of this type sometimes do.

Outstanding accuracy out of my 6.5-284 with groups in the mid 3's at 100 yards using H4350, and muzzle velocity of about 3100 fps. Bad for hunting in the woods, however. I had one blow up on the shoulder of a whitetail doe at a measured 110 yards. Too frangible for eastern deer hunting at 6.5-284 velocity. Suspect would be fine in 6.5x55, 260 Rem. or smaller cartridges.

Sub moa out to 600 yards out of a custom built 6.5 Grendel AR-15 I built, try the 120 and 123g a-max`s and then try the Nosler, you will stick with the Nosler!

As we can only use rifle caliber cartridges in pistols for deer in IN, I had J.D. Jones build me a 6.5 Arisaka bbl, 14" w/Muzzlebrake for my T/C Contender frame. I have taken about 15 deer with it; from 80 LB yearlings to 200 LB+ bucks, @ distances ranging from 50 to 300 yds, and have yet to recover a bullet!!!!! None have required a second shot. Total penetration from all angles with the average running distance B4 Dropping being about 38 yards. Starting velocity being about 2400 fps fron the Contender. I have also started loading them for my REM Model 7 in .260 REM., and also for my REM Model 673 Guide Rifle in 6.5 REM MAG. No results with them yet. OH yea, my best shot with the little JAP was a 328 yd shot on an ol coyote. It is scoped with a Bushnell 2X6X32 pistol scope. Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5 STAR all the way.

So far my 260 Rem with a Shaw barrel loves these bullets. Holding a 1/2" group at 100 yds. Havent hunted with them yet. But for PA whitetail they should be just fine.only 4 stars because havent hunted with them yet

These Ballistic Tips are amazing. I shot a 190 lb. wild boar with a 6.5 Grendel 16" barrel and X-Terminator powder at 75 -100 yds. It did run 20 yds before it dropped, but upon field dressing it, we discovered it liquefied both lungs before it exited. Wild boars aren't easy to stop, but Nosler BTs will do it!

Absolutely fantastic bullet for my T3 6.5x55. I always liked them at the range due to their tiny little groups, but today I tried them for the first time on a whitetail buck. He jumped once and hit the ground dead. 40 yd. at 2900fps it turned his heart and lungs into paste. With a 3" exit wound. Keep it behind the shoulder if you like meat, these little pills do NASTY soft tissue damage (as do all Ballistic tips) 5 stars, loading up more now for next week's hunt.

I shoot this in my 260 rem it is the best deer killer I have seen. Last 7 deer all one shot kills and all @ 250 yards.

I wasn't planning to post a review on these until I'd tried them on game but the accuracy is impressive! From a custom Remington 700 with a Krieger Barrel I got a five shot 0.726 group at 200 yards! I used IMR-4350, Nosler cases, Federal primers, velocity was 2927 fps from a 26 inch barrel.

Before the 120 Hornady Amax the 120 Nosler BT was my varmint bullet -- but if I had to shoot a deer I would use the 120 Nosler BT. Many years ago the Nosler BT appeared to be rather explosive but my guess is Nosler made the jackets tougher. Drop comparisons at extreme ranges show no real difference between AMAX's and NBT's. When I can buy them I go for the AMAX's mostly because they are cheaper. Possibly I could section these bullets the long way and take a look at the jacket thickness and lead core hardness.

I shot a 150 lb 7-point buck at 50 yards this year. It went no more than 20 yards with A quartering toward shot through the top of the heart and one lung. Add IMR 4350 and this bullet shoots under a 3/8" group at 100 yards out of my Ruger 77 6.5x55 Swedish. Nosler, keep up the good work!

Consistently the standard by which all other bullets on my shelf are measured. I've heard the stories of them blowing up but I've never seen it happen with a properly placed shot. Largest deer I ever killed was with one of these bullets, a 250lb+ monster mulie near Waterton Park in Alberta. Complete broadside penetration at 273 yards from my .264 Win.
