I use one of these to ...

I use one of these to pass bore shine or hoppes (whatever I have on hand at the time) through the barrel so it gets a good soaking. Then after scrubbing with brushes and patches I use a second mop to run sweets though the barrel and I let it soak for 5-10 minutes (no longer with the sweets). I then pull some patches with hoppes through the barrel to flush out the sweets, followed by a lightly oiled patch and then some dry patches to remove the oil. These mops work great in both my 22 rifles and my AR's. I also clean the mops afterward and I have been able to reuse them, so the pack of 10 should last me a couple of years-YMMV. Overall I think they are a great addition to your cleaning kit and as always Midway has the best deal on them.Cheers,Chris
