Having purchased these Redding Dies at the recommendation of a local world class Palma champion, and two local gun stores I have found that I am completely satisfied with the results. The quality and craftsmanship are a serious step up from the "standard dies" I own from other manufacturers. Like a fine firearm, the fit and finish of this product look and feel distinctive. The full length resizing of my magnum cases, being important for my hunting loads, enables positive, consistent chambering and truly straight alignment with the bore of my new Accumark. I never imagined being able to achieve sub-MOA results on the range. This rifle has shown me that it is capable of very fine performance with factory loads (3/4 inch 3 shop groups with Weatherby/Norma 210 gr. Nosler Partitions), but I have achieved better results with my own hand loads (less than 1/2 inch, center to center, 3 shot groups with Weatherby/Norma casings, IMR 7828 powder, CCI 250 primers, and Barnes 225 gr. TSX boat tail bullets). Two elk from Craig, Colorado 2004 season, occupy a prestigious place in my freezer, meat for the winter, thanks to this combo. The finished product from my bench is a better component - functioning through my rifle in part because of these wonderful dies. Any precision load cannot be truly precise unless great attention it placed on the UNIFORMITY of the case dimensions. We must also carefully select primers, powder, and bullet as we consider shooting a bullet accurately and powerfully on target or critter. The time we spend working with this most important basic component - the shell casing - is the foundation upon which the other components are built. Seeing the importance now of precision bullet seating, I will be selecting a fine-tuning micrometer seating die to improve again on my finished product. Redding has them.
