Product Information

The Tipped TSX features a 100-percent copper body with rings cut into the shank. A polymer tip boosts the ballistic coefficient, improves long-range ballistics and provides fast expansion. The four razor sharp cutting petals double the bullet diameter making delivering "dead right there" performance.

These revolutionary bullets from Barnes are made of 100% copper and contain no lead. Barnes recommends initially seating bullets 0.050" off the lands. Best accuracy will be found from 0.030" to 0.070" depending on the rifle. This is not loaded ammunition.

Have only used these at ...

Have only used these at the range as they are new, 264 win mag shooting 3400 ft per second with medium loads, groups were very tight. Take about 8 hunting a year and have never had a bad Barnes.

In the past I had issues ...

In the past I had issues with some barrels not liking the Barnes copper bullets. These new bullets have worked OK in the barrels I tried them in. This past weekend I shot 1/4" to 3/8" groups @ up to 3,600 fps @ 100 yards. I am using these in 6.5-284 28" barrel and in a 26" 264 Mag barrel.
