Its secant ogive, 15 degree boat tail base and polymer tip create a sleek, aerodynamic profile that helps maintain down-range velocities and flat trajectories. The extra heavy tapering jacket wall with an internally bonded lead core provides structural integrity, reliable expansion and penetration with over 70% weight retention.

Awesome bullet. Shoots very well and retains weight for deep penetration. I went to a bonded bullet in 25-06 due to versatility and reliable performance. The way a 25-06 treats bullets at close range shots is more like the way a magnum acts than a standard caliber. If only the jacket was gilding metal I couldn't ask for more...As it is when I get done coyote hunting I have to make sure to get ALL the jacket fouling out from the v-max's or this bullet wont shoot at all.

I shoot these in my 257 Weatherby at 3750 fps. They group around a .5" and did a number on the deer I shot with them this year. I havent recovered a single bullet. If you have enough freebore, try loading them a little longer for best accuracy in the 257, around 3.340" COAL and RE 22 powder.

Load these for my .25 ...

Load these for my .25 WSSM AR-15. Just start using them this year so haven't taken any game with them, but they are awesome for accuracy. Same load with three other bullets produce 3/4" groups but the Scirocco's produced 1/2" or better. I can't wait to see how they perform on deer, but might have to wait and see next year. Very high quality bullets and comparably priced to Hornady Accubond.

This is a great bullet for accuracy. My Remington 700 in .257 magnum loves these bullets. It will shoot a group under .4 at 100 yards. I can't wait until hunting season to try them on a deer.

Used these in my 25-06, backed by R-22 at 3300 fps. Very accurate. Took two antelope this past fall with one shot each. Range 440 and 490 yards and did not recover either bullet. .5 moa groups at 100 yards the norm. Very accurate and reliable.

Tried them in a Remington 700 chambered in 257 Weatherby.Norma brass & Federal 215M primers and a firm load of H-1000. Able to shoot under M.O.A @ 100 yards. One of the very few bullets that will take the f.p.s that the 257 Weatherby can dish out.
