This is a great product. It is best used to create contrasting colors on "dot" sights, where there is a circular hollow to fill in the sight body. It can be used to paint serrated ramps, too. The surface must be degreased prior to application, and the paint must dry 24hrs before use. Some sights will come out better if a base of the white paint is applied first, permitted to dry, and followed by an application of the desired color. I've used this successfully on S&W "Novak" sights and S&W J-frame front ramps.

Would give zero if I could. Bad customer service from bright sights. They do not stand behind their product like they say? Product did not work for me and the would not refund my money when I shipped it back them. They claimed they didn't get it? Beware.

I've tried two different colors of this product, hoping for better results, but the bottom line is to avoid these.The colors are excellent - great visibility and solid saturation, which makes them easy to pick up quickly.Except...After trying everything I've thought of, including roughing the surface, removing the finish on the sights, cleaning with acetone, curing with heat and letting them set for weeks, these paints simply do not adhere to anything. I've not tried mixing in with an epoxy base, but that's next. The colors are so good, that might actually work, which is why they get two stars.

This paint is so close to factory if applied "WITHIN DOT CUPS" on "IRON SIGHTS". You have to clean off all oil and etch the old white factory paint to get to stick. Use acetone (nail polish remover) & a wood tooth pick. If you like the Ghost Glow paint, the old factory white dots will enhance the luminescence. This paint when applied to totally clean (bare) iron sight dot cups and a large build up bubbling out of the cup will shrink concave within the dot cups and look exactly like a factory job. I have used them over etched factory white paint and have used cleaners such as Hoppe's #9, CLP Break Free, Otis's 085 UltraBore cleaner and lastly brake parts cleaner to degrease and remove particulates before touch up bluing various slide grinds (ejection ports & checkering). The trick is not to let the cleaners soak on the finished paint. If you're color blind you may want to paint the sight dots white, orange, or yellow. I don't exactly know who the genus who thought red was a good industry's choice, although, white is the most common. If you have dot cups within an iron sight, this is simply the best for a one application (shouldn't layer it) like factory job. "5 stars"

This is garbage. I followed the instruction as it says. Painted my guns front and rear sights, the paint is too thick and peels off and doesnt stay. It doesnt work.

Absolute garbage. It's not opaque, and becomes MUCH darker and doesn't stand out after drying. The adherence to metal is worse even than any acrylic MODEL paint I've ever used. You can't even get the stuff to stay on while painting it to build up a decent layer, and after drying it just peels off in one big piece the first time anything rubs the edges. It's useless. Get SiteGlo paint. They're the real deal.

Not a bad product for the price. There used to be a product called plasti-kote that was for tool handles and such, when dry this product is much like the handles on pliers and such that are coated with plastic. It will not last as long as a professional job but works pretty good if you go above and beyond the directions. Meaning wait longer than the suggested drying time, as long as 3 or 4 days works best. Also do not just rely on the cleaning kit that comes with them the cleaner the base is the better this stuff will stick and coat. Also I used several coats. I have had it on the front sight of my Henry lever action .22 for a few months now and no sign of wear at all.

Doesn't stick - usually falls off before getting to the range. Better to buy colored file folder dots, trim to size and stick on the sight. That works for a day's shooting and is incredibly cheap. (I like florescent green on my front iron sight and leave the rear sight alone.)

Purchased this paint, followed all directions. The paint comes off after limited use. It's not very visible or bright either. I have sanded, cleaned and tried priming and it does not stick. When I went to re-apply the paint after it came off, the paint was all dried up and useless, even though I tightly resealed the bottles-worthless.
