Product Information

The Thompson Center U-View Black Powder Measure is the easiest way to measure precise powder charges. This measure allows you to see the exact level of the powder in the tube. Eliminate the guesswork of loading consistent charges with this handy, lightweight measure. Includes loading spout that swivels out of the way to fill the measure. Locking shaft is a cinch to adjust. Prevents pouring partial charges caused by bridging of powder. Graduated in five increments from 15 to 125 grains.

Top of the line measure. ...

Top of the line measure. Idiot proof design, and flows great with any size granule powder (even shockeys, garbage) golf ball sized rocks. Little bit of static cling due to the plastic construction but an extra tap does not take away from the overall perfect construction.

I have used several different measures that claim to be fast and easy, but this is the only one I have found that truly is fast and easy. It's great for loading my .44 revolver with exact and repeatable results... and it works just as well for my .50 rifle.

I'm generally pleased with the design and quality of the measure. The only problem I have with the measure is that the funnel is extremely hard to swivel and almost impossible to move if my hands are only slightly slippery. I put a drop of gun oil on the swivel point in a desperate attempt to make it easier. This helped only a slight amount.

I can't imagine going ...

I can't imagine going without this thing: it is tough and makes volume loading so easy and precise it unthinkable to use anything else. The biggest feature of this measure is that it's clear. You can VERY precisely see what you're load is at any volume. Better still, the turn base allows you to lock the quantity in perfectly and securely, so you can have it setup for your favorite load all day long - a fantastic bonus.I have used it to load my T/C Omega with, typically, 110 gr. - 120gr. of Hodgden Triple 7 with phenom,inal results. Using a 1x Sightron blackpowder scope, this thing was keeping my loads consistent enough to keep within 1" or less at 50 yards, and blasting milk jugs all day out at 150 yards. Again, I wouldn't use any other volume measure after buying this one.

Good product, slightly ...

Good product, slightly tricky to use, or perhaps it's just me. The nose cone (funnel) slides off to the side so you can fill the tube with powder, then slides back over for pouring. The problem I have had is when putting the funnel into your barrel to load the powder, the funnel has slid (pivoted) off of the tube, and half the powder goes in the barrel, and half onto the ground. Now you have to dry fire that load, because you have no idea how much powder got put in the barrel. Not a good situation while hunting. So be very careful, or premeasure your loads while hunting. All in all, this is a fine product if you pay attention to what you're doing, and have a light touch when loading the powder.

Sometimes if you want something to last you have to buy the best. This is the best see through powder measure I own. I've bought four cheaper see through measures for much less, and you better treat the cheap ones with tender loving care or they break. This one is very well made.
