Great for inexpensive practice or training, the AR22 stock kit transforms a standard Ruger 10/22 into an ergonomically identical twin of the AR-15 that looks and feels the same as the larger, centerfire rifle. The drop-in kit includes a CNC machined aluminum main body, Picatinny-style scope rail and forearm adapter, while also allowing the use of any AR-15 buttstock, pistol grip and free-float tube (sold separately). Compatible with any factory or aftermarket barrel for the 10/22.

Went together fairly easy. Front two and grip bolts were a little snug, scared I crossthreaded them for a second. Top rail fit was very good. Picked up a mil-spec buffer tube and used my factory AR furniture to save a few dollars. Great update for my 15 year old 10/22 to make it more fun!!!

Good fit-Easy assembly-All metal-Nylon screws have been replaced with metal screws. Nordic trigger guard spacer included. I paired mine up with the DPMS Pardus Buttstock Assembly-Looks and feels GREAT! I cannot wait to show it off at the range.

Follow up from previous rating. I used a modified universal weaver barrel mount, a delta ring assembly, and I installed mid length standard hand guards, which works fine. I bought a detachable rear carry handle and front sight as well as a YHM riser as to install iron sights. This produced moderate results. The REASON is in that if you physically line up the front and rear sights perfectly, at zero, the point of impact is very much right and you have to adjust the rear sight almost max left to achieve zero windage. If you look at the rail, you can see it's physically NOT perfectly straight, it's canted. This is a quality machining issue. I haven't tried, but you may be able to shim to bring it 100% level. If you stick to reflex or optic sighting system, it's not too bad but putting iron sights on would be quite a challenge. I wonder if anyone else noticed this problem? Overall...I still think it's above and beyond anything out there on the market.

I'm SO glad I didn't buy the Pro-Mag archangel kit just to save a few bucks. Simple to assemble, finish is excellent, fit is perfect....don't even think about that tiny gap between the upper and lower....isn't worth mention...don't detract from it at all. I'm taken away by it....simply amazing.

I bought one and it went together perfectly then I got to the DPMS free float tube and the threads were too fine so it would not screw in.

This is a great product hands down. When combined with a 16" stainless bull barrel and tube AR stock, it looks just breathtaking. Fit and finish is perfect. The only issue I have is that the anodizing is not as good as it should be for the price, it's a little thin and scratch prone. All in all, a great product for the 10/22 nut.

Excellent product. Should be for the money. I have had this stock for about a year and have had nothing but fun with it. If you notice when ordering a float tube some are labeled commercial spec instead of mil spec. This might be some of the problem with people in the other reviews. As for the silver guns, I would probably just go with something else. I am not sure how the threads and screws will hold up over time when disassembled and reassembled, although they appear to be pretty durable. Final note: Ruger is now building 10/22's with the Nordic stock. This will probably end up being a cheaper route, but maybe not as much fun or unique. Thanks.

The one I got was ...

The one I got was beautiful. I would give it a 5 except for the fact that the top and bottom covers don't close together. There is a 1/16" or so gap between them when installed. From looking at pictures this seems normal. I have a stainless gun and the silver shows through and the cutouts don't center on the serial number or the ejector side. I'll fix this with some black RTV. The fit is extremely tight. Be sure to read the directions several times to ease installation. Be aware that you will need a forend and adapter which is a standard adapter. It has fooled several people who thought it was an AR-15 at first glance or even second. Pretty cool produce. Not much cheaper to put together a rifle than an AR with a 22 Conversion though.

Fairly easy to install... the nylon screws posed me a bit of a problem... would not thread through all the way but I got around that. LOOKS AWESOME. Added the parts (stock, quad rail, etc.), most people when a magazine isn't in think it's an AR. Great feel. Feels very similar to an AR and a lot cheaper to shoot. Mounted a Red-Dot right to the top rail no problem.... Love this kit. A bit expensive... but worth it in my eyes.
