Bought one at a local big store WM, I know, I know..lol But had to have one today. There's a bunch of people giving bad reviews, and I am pretty sure why DAC packaged this LED light with a plastic guard on top the battery in the + contact point, to prevent the Duracell AAA from dying on the shelves. There's no directions telling you this, I only discovered this when trying to put a new battery in. It fell out and just happened to see it. So before you get mad, check to see if the plastic protectors stuck up in the tube, sometimes they don't just fall out. It's a wonderful bore light, almost too bright, and it takes a common AAA battery. It's built out of aluminum, with great construction. My only gripe is I paid double what Larry's asking..

I ordered 3 of these and only two work. For those that say the Remington is better, I also ordered one of those and that arrived D.O.A. Get what you pay for!! I bought an Eddie Bauer model at Target for about $10 and it is 5 years old, still on the same battery and works great.

The light works very good. The flexible shaft can be bent to get in tight places if needed. The only thing that is a problem for me is the switch is small and my old fingers don't work as good as they used to.

They are cheaper at Wally World and if you don't dump the plastic disk out they will not light. Very rugged and useful light.

I find this light to be very handy for illuminating things at angles that a large flashlight won't work well with. Very good for tight spaces and complicated mechanics. Especially handy is when me and a friend are both examining something and I can slip this light into the mess without obstructing anyone's view.

Bought one at a local store. Was dead. Returned it for another and tested it at the store (with the manager). Also dead. Noticed that they have been pulled from that store's shelves. Would have been cool if it worked, but quality was not there.

Works great! I did find that you need to remove a plastic disk that covers the positive connecter inside the light or it will not work. I think it is a battery saver for shipment.

I bought 4 of these units at one time in mid August 2011. The first one did not work right away, but the other three worked first time out.After measuring "the flyback potential of the item" that's where you throw it against something like a concrete floor and see how highit bounces it now works...so go figure. These aresmall easily put in a range bag or rifle case andforgotten about until needed. I know others had problems with them up 75% worked right out of the box and the other 25% just needed some incentive to work. Face it that's better than any Congress in my lifetime.

I've got 4 of these bore lights, they all work great. I have one in every range bag and one on my work bench. The on/off button works great and thats what breaks on all the others I've got. I also clip one on my fishing vest and use it to tie on fly's at night when I fish the "Hex" in N. Mich. It's helped me hook many nice Brown's and Rainbow"s!
