AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! ...

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! These ProMag magazines for the 10/22 Magnum are horrible quality. First time in the gun and every round jammed. Also to add insult to injury, we could not remove the magazine from the gun without 30 minutes of work and my daughter injuring her thumbnail in the process. I have never seen a magazine jam in a gun like this ever! Wrote Midway who said they would be happy to accept the return. Also wrote ProMag and told them what happened and never got a response. I will never buy ProMag products in the future. It's just junk in my opinion. Thank goodness for Midway customer service!

I have a 96/17HMR just ...

I have a 96/17HMR just came out this year. Lever action 17HMR. I bought 2 of these mags and from the first time I loaded it the follower jammed and had to beat the stuffing out of it to get the rounds out. I could only get about 15 rds in before it jammed. The mag's design is flawed and PROMAG knows this (I called ProMag) but continues to sell defective products just like the SKS 30 rd mag same thing I called PROMAG and they told me it was being redesigned to fix the flaw but do they stop selling the mag NO! The number of defective PROMAG products is piling up at my house. I will never buy another PROMAG paper weight again.

These mags are worthless ...

These mags are worthless if you shoot a Volquartsen. Mags don't seat and hold, and on top of that won't feed ammo.

I bought 4 twenty-four ...

I bought 4 twenty-four round magazines & have had minor problems. I also have 4 nine round magazines & have not used since receiving the larger magazines. I would certainly recommend these over the standard magazines.

I purchased this and the 1st time out, the magazine fails to feed. If I take it out and shake it, it will feed one and then fails to feed the next. The spring tension isn't strong enough.

Good idea but doesn't ...

Good idea but doesn't function properly in Volquartsen. Spring tension is too great after 14 or so rounds to seat properly in magwell and engage catch properly. The mag either doesn't feed the next round or the mag drops out altogether. The last round is not presented high enough to feed either. Manufacturer needs to make some minor design changes to improve functioning.

I have two .17 HMR Volquartsen's and the magazines (I purchased two) would not properly seat and lock in either rifle. Useless! If you have Volquartsen, don't buy!

I bought two of these for ...

I bought two of these for a non-custom 10-22. Neither worked. I watched a friend (that bought 10) try 3. They refused to work. In loading the magazines, about the 8th round, the spring didn't bring the last round back up to the lips. A slight tap would bring it up. I loaded both with 22 rounds, tapping the magazine quite often. Rounds 21 thru 9 did not feed. Rounds 8 thru 1 did feed properly. Since the factory mag holds 9, I actually lost ground. It appears the magazine is too tight-either the rounds are "hanging" on the ends, or the follower isn't sliding properly-spring pressure appears to be good. A definite "NO" to buying this magazine. 5 of 12 wouldn't function, and I don't know about the other 7.

Much better than using ...

Much better than using the 9 round mags that come with the 10/22 mag. The add states 24 round but mine took 25. Never have enough ammo, without having to reload. Great product!!!!
