Bought the 1.5 trigger and the spring kit. Installed it yesterday in an Armalite using the 3 lb. spring. It gave a clean and crisp 2.5 lb. measured on the RCBS premium trigger scale. Not a difficult install, however tuning and adjustment can take quite a while to get it exactly to the way you want it. Well worth the time.However I did have to extend the threads in the sear engagement adjustment (hand grip screw) to enable their adjust screw to protrude into the trigger area as indicated in the instructions. Also was a little uncertain about installing after putting the included loctite on the screws, but found it to be relatively slow to set, so go ahead and use it and you will have more than enough time to make all your adjustments.Things they could do to make the product better would be to engineer a position for the overtravel adjustment screw further to the rear so that adjustment is not blocked by the hammer spring. That would enable adjustment without having to remove the hammer.Also for maybe $5 more they should include a 1/4-28 tap to extend those threads mentioned above and some Allen wrenches for the other screws.Jard has the instructions on their website and it would helpful to download and study them before the trigger arrives.Really happy with the trigger after I finally got it the way I wanted.

Frustrating

I have bought Geissele triggers in the past and love them. However Geissele doesn't make single stage triggers. However, I needed a single stage trigger to work with my slide fire stock. So I tried this Jard.

What a huge pain. The instructions were terrible. Two hours of trial and error and tinkering later the thing is installed. In hind sight I would have spent the extra $50 and got a drop in and saved an hour and half of my life.

That being said with the 3 1/2 pound spring installed it breaks at an average of 4 lbs. I also bought the 1 1/2 lb spring which broke at the average on 2 lbs.

I'm sure if I was ever to install another it would only take an hour now with experience.

I also don't like the fact that you have to "lock-tite" a custom set screw into your lower receiver's pistol grip screw hole forever.

The trigger seems to work, but I would never buy it again.

I've installed these in a number of AR-15's. They offer a great single stage trigger at a reasonable price. The adjustment capabilities enable the user to set it to their individual standards. Install is easy if you are familiar with the function of the lower receiver. The variety of spring weights available enable the user to set the trigger as light or heavy as they desire at a reasonable price. Does require a tap to finish the threads in the grip screw hole on most lowers.

Love it

I bought this to put in my S&W 15-22 and I love it. Dropped my initial trigger pull from almost 7 lbs to 3.2 lbs with a 2 lb spring installed, which is exactly where I want it. It will probably get lighter as time goes by.

Adjust-ability is they key to how awesome this trigger is. Although it makes it a little harder to install and kind of confusing it is awesome. You can adjust the take up and over travel so it is very customizable. I like quite a bit of take up with a light spring and no over travel.

The trigger is VERY smooth and crisp. Like I said I like a lot of take up, basically making it a 2 stage trigger, but I can't feel any grinding.

The only down side is that it wiggles a little bit. I'm not sure if it is because of the trigger of the 15-22 so I'm not docking it stars. I am just going to get a pies of an old cutting board and make shims for the sides to keep it centered but this is something worth noting.

The Perfect Single Stage AR Trigger

Trigger was installed in my Sig Sauer 516 Patrol rifle. Please read and understand the installation instructions, follow step by step and you will have YOUR perfect trigger before you know it! I highly recommend the purchase of the set of additional trigger pull springs so you can set it to preference between 1.5 to 5 lbs. I set mine to 4.5 lbs. Overtravel and trigger reset can be precisely set to your like. Fire Control Group is well machined, finished and surface treated. I will purchase a second one for my Sig 716.

Very light trigger! Had to give a lower review because this trigger locked up my rifle at a 3gun match. If you use the included plate that prevents the hammer and trigger pin from drifting, verify that the silver sear pin won't interfere with the plate. My rifle needs about 0.010" material removed. This trigger worked fine until the sear pin drifted and contacted the anti-walk plate.

WOW! about says it all. Installation was a little involved but not difficult. The Jard pin retaining plate is a really neat design. I am still allowing the Loctite to set so I have not yet fired the rifle other than a few dry fires. With the standard 1.5# spring installed if feels like a .22 LR target rifle. (better than my old boyhood Mossberg 144LSA) I would rate this trigger better than the Timney 3# trigger which I purchased a couple of months back although in fairness I need to setup the Jard with its 3# spring and shoot both side by side.

Just finished installing this into a smith&wesson 15-22 and can't be happier. It's so much better than the stock trigger, can be put in and adjusted very easily (as long as you have common sense) and is perfect for what I wanted it for. I could probably have a gunsmith polish the contact points to bring it even lower, but it's just fine how it is now. It comes with a plate also that will prevent your pins from walking out instead of having to use lock tight which, by the way, a small blue tube is provided with the kit to keep your set screws from moving.

Trigger was a little weird thinking about installing but take your time and you'll get it. 1-1/2 pound pull feels great for the target range and reloading bench, I got the 2 and 3 pound trigger springs in case I decide to bump it up for the field.

Read, then reread the instructions, watched a tutorial read the instructions again. Finally got it adjusted as close as I was going to then couldn't get the safety to work, whole trigger was cocked. Brand new RRA lower. I'm no expert but I've installed a few triggers maybe I got a bad one maybe my lower is the problem. Just didn't have the luck others have. Will probably go with a Giessele SSA again great triggers and a breeze to install.
