Just installed this safety in an Essex frame with a Cylinder & Slide hammer kit. Installed easily without extensive fitting and without modifying the RH grip. Works perfectly. Just ordered 2 more.

I installed this on my ...

I installed this on my Springfield Armory Mil Spec. It dropped right in and fit perfectly! Works very well and has a nice crisp on & off click. I'm a lefty and now feel more comfortable knowing I can disengage the safety without changing my grip on the gun.

This item was a drop-in replacement for the single side safety on my Kimber Custom Target II. No filing, no fitting required. I like the fact that the right side rides on the included, replacement hammer pin and doesn't require relief of the right grip panel. Highly recommended. I'm no gunsmith and I found it easy to install.

I don't know why I didn't get one of these years ago! I'm left handed so I really needed one on my Kimber .38 Super. Took maybe ten minutes to install and functioned perfectly. Doesn't scratch the frame either like some other brands.

Installation of this ...

Installation of this safety on my Springfield GI 1911 went smooth. I had to sand a bit of metal on the left side of the safety where the plunger tube engaged the safety for smooth operation from the right side, and cut a corner of my hogue grip, which I expected. If I would not have sanded then the operation of the safety from the right side took quite a bit of force to fully disengage. I am very happy with the way my pistol looks with this safety and it is very comfortable. A must have for us lefties!

This is a fine ambi. ...

This is a fine ambi. thumb safety. It uses the hammer pin to secure the left side safety rather than just tucking it behind a grip panel. I got it for my Springfield loaded model and it dropped in. No smithing or fiddling around.

Dropped right in my Colt ...

Dropped right in my Colt defender. Functions smooth and positive. The finish is a matte finish which is hard to tell from the picture. This safety also comes with an new hammer pin that traps the RH side to make it stay put.

My set came with some ...

My set came with some play in it and I used coax cable crimpers to LIGHTLY close the gap down some. My set fits together snuggly now and there is no perceivable play in the right side safety. If you over tighten the gap no big deal, LIGHTLY pry it open with a flat bladed screwdriver. You want it to go together and come apart with thumb and forefinger tension. Good shooting!
