I use this holster for on ...

I use this holster for on and off-duty. I use it daily as a backup holster for work. The non-expandable strap is why I prefer this holster. It easily fits over a full size high top boot without needing the calf strap. I have been in many foot chases and the holster has never been an issue. Takes a bit of getting used to, but a great holster as a backup. The only issue that I had is that the holster seams started coming loose after daily wear and tear. But I would consider 2 years of daily wear to be good life of a holster. No it does not have any padding on the inside of the holster, but I found that wearing tall socks makes it comfortable enough to wear off-duty. I just bought 3 more today while they were on sale!

I needed a couple of ...

I needed a couple of holsters for my Micro Desert Eagles and I prefer my pockets to be free. The "made-to-fit" ankle holsters offered by Magnum Research sold for a "cringe-worthy" amount. After trying this size at Gander Mnt, I lucked-out when I found them here on clearance. I got two for less than the price of one at Magnum Research.The guns themselves fit adequately. Because of my skinny ankles I have to strap the holsters a little higher so they fit tightly, but with long socks they aren't overly irritating.Good fit, great price, great service. Once again MidwayUSA is hard to beat.

I feel a lot better about ...

I feel a lot better about court room security with a 40 caliber Glock on my ankle. My Uncle Mike's holster is comfortable and does a good job of concealment under the pants leg.

Holster strap does not ...

Holster strap does not stretch so the fit is not snug and the gun turns around the leg. Also holster is not padded on inside of leg causing irritation. Sent it back.
