I use this stuff after I clean with hoppes to remove lead/copper fouling, and it does what it claims to do. Read direction and do as it asks!

This is the best solvent ...

This is the best solvent I have ever used for removing copper. Just follow the instructions as they are written - and be sure to remove the CR-10 (I use Hoppes No. 9) and oil the bore when you are finished. CR-10 will save you tons of time and energy. It's a great product.

Out of all the copper ...

Out of all the copper cleaning products that are available ie:7.62, Hoppes 9, Butches, etc. etc., the Barnes CR-10 copper solvent is the only one I will ever use again. I have tried ALL the others without total removal of the offending copper. I used the CR-10 ONCE and followed the directions carefully and to my surprise it was gone! I had a few guns (pistols and rifles) that had also accumulated copper fowling over the years that I couldn't get out, that came totally clean after one or two passes with just patches and a nylon brush. It didn't take anywhere near the effort that is usually required. It turned the stubborn copper into what looked like gold leaf that just about fell out. I will however agree with others that it is VERY POTENT as far as the smell is concerned. Definitely use in a well ventilated area! Try this product, I know you will be VERY happy you did!

This product ROCKS and ...

This product ROCKS and for the price you can't beat it. Cleaned my two Mil-Surplus weapons YUGO SKS and Mosin M44 in about 30 minutes,the crud really came out both my bores are nice and clean and shiny. Based on usage of the product this should last me at last a year. Hardly take much to do a great job. Definitely use outside.

If I could rate this product six stars, I'd do it.I loaded up my .375 H&H Model 70 Safari Express, getting ready for an African trip. I could see the copper aggregate sticking up on the lands.I scrubbed the heck out of it with Hoppes No. 9 for two days, making little headway.I used the Barnes stuff three times, following the directions precisely, and my bore came up as new.My groups had opened up substantially. Now, theyre back to three-round one-hole at fifty yards.You can't beat this stuff with a stick!

I just cleaned a rifle ...

I just cleaned a rifle using a different brand and the patches came out clean after 5 minutes. For a comparison, I cleaned the rifle again using CR10 and the patches looked like I hadn't cleaned it the first time.I won't use any other brand , regardless of which bullet I fire. CR10 is THE copper remover for serious shooters.

Best stuff I've found yet ...

Best stuff I've found yet for persistent copper & brass fouling. When left to sit for a few hours, a tight patch bulldozes all the crud my dozen or so other products can't seem to clean out.For the first time, I can see how my barrel looked when it was new. A clothespin over the nose is suggested, however!

This is the best solvent ...

This is the best solvent I've ever used!!! Dissolves copper like acid dissolves steel. Only took two patches and the bore was spotless clean! Throw out all your messy paste cleaners and so called "Bench Rest" copper solvents. This is the only stuff you'll ever need. I normally use Sweets except my local gunshop was out. All he had was this Barnes stuff. Sweets is good, don't get me wrong. This stuff is even better. Well worth the extra money. Was I surprised! If you think your guns are clean, run a few patches with CR-10 through them and prepare to pick your jaw up off the floor!
