When filled with corn cob media these Deadshot bags have moderate weight to offer stability while maintaining their portability. The suede top grips your forend. Durable cordura sides hold their shape and are water resistant. Handy clip connects the front and rear bags for added convenience. The front bag is approximately 6 inches high where the forend rests.

I bought this product at a retail outlet two years ago(before I learned of Midway) and have loved it since. Very handy for benchrest and informal plinking. I have used it to shoot sub 1" groups w/my .223. My only problem with the product was I tried to use it as a revolver rest, it worked well, but did not last long. The gases from the barrel/cylinder burned through it. But, I liked it enough to buy another one last week even though I now have a proper steel benchrest and bags for it. This product is worth your time and money, filled or unfilled!

Nice looking and functional bags...at least for a while. After only 4 or 5 uses the seem split on the top of the front bag. Bag was not abused and had never gotten wet. The thread used in making this bag is very thin and unwaxed. The green nylon is thin also. Was hard to repair as there was NO extra nylon to work with and was quite easy to tear. If I had kept the receipt this would be returned for a refund. Yet another example of sorry "Made In China" quality.

It gets one because there is no zero stars. Junk; very poor quality. Buy this if you like duct tape all over your shooting rests, and if you don't mind buying a quality one after duct-taping these up and suffering with crap for a while.

These are very good bags ...

These are very good bags and made well. One problem is the closure strips of Velcro do not "close" the filler opening well enough. The filler material looks like grains of salt, like coarse beach sand. The Velcro seal in the middle of the opening does close well. But at both ends it leaks, and only because of the sewing design. The filler material can get through past the ends of the Velcro. The material is heavy, as it has to be, but there are other materials that are available that are as heavy, but are larger, more coarse and will not get past the Velcro closure strips. Upon taking the two bags out of the box, I had filler material spilling out on the work table. I tried to press and seal the openings but no matter what, it still leaked. I say to buy these bags empty and get a coarse heavy material locally. Something like BBs for your BB gun would work. It just needs to be a coarser material and heavy.

Purchased the set and ...

Purchased the set and went to the range that weekend. Benchresting a 270 bolt gun with forearm resting on the bag. Less than a box through it when the seam where the leather like material joins the denier nylon came apart. BTW looks like ground corn cob inside. Only rated a two because my dealer exchanged it with no issue. I was greatly disappointed. Really, less than 20 rounds.

Save your money this ...

Save your money this stuff is junk. I dont know who designed it but they are not shooters or concerned with quality. I did not get mine exchanged and It just went into the garbage, seam split right away, big mess, no exchange. And really why exchange so I can get this filling all over my box again. Dont walk away....run

I bought these about two ...

I bought these about two years ago. I use them almost weekly in my adventures to the range. I have shot .4" groups off of these bags. They are strong and durable mine get abused a lot. One thing Make sure you NEVER EVER EVER get them wet. If they get wet the corn cob will swell up to a point of almost bursting the seams. Mine got went then hot then cold by sitting in the trunk of the car. Both were so hard they were like bricks. Still no tearing at any seam. I am in the process of drying out the media. I might try a mix of sand and media this time to add some weight.

This product is awsome, you can let out exactly the amount of grain from the bags to customie to your rifle, and is incredably durable, especially becasue it is soft there is nothing to break.

I'm impressed, it helped ...

I'm impressed, it helped me get my grouping with my M1 Garand to less then a 1/2"group and my 1903a3 to drill tacks a hole through the same hole at a 100yds both are with iron military sites, you can't ask for anything better! Thanks Caldwell! The bench rest bags are the greatest.
